About This Content

Considered to be one of the most reliable and trouble-free EMUs of the Mk3 family, the Class 321 is a popular commuter train operated by a number of companies across the UK, and now available for Train Simulator in First Capital Connect livery.

Based on the British Rail Mk3 body shape, the Class 321 EMU was originally built for the Network Southeast sector by BREL York between 1998 and 1991. Three sub-classes were built, the 321/3 and 321/4 for Network Southeast, and the 321/9 for services around the Leeds area.

In total, 117 four-car train sets were built with a top speed of 100mph (161km/h), powered by AC 25kV overhead electric via a pantograph fitted to the PMSO vehicle. The design of these train sets was also considered so successful that it led to the development of the similar Class 320 and Class 322.

Following privatization of the British rail network, the Class 321s were transferred to a number of operators, including London Midland, Greater Anglia, Northern Rail and First Capital Connect; 13 remain in traffic with FCC.

The Class 321 EMU for Train Simulator is available in First Capital Connect livery and features passenger view, cab and instrument lighting, and a full four-car consist, comprising of DTCO, PMSO, TSO and DTSO passenger vehicles.

The locomotive is also Quick Drive compatible, giving you the freedom to drive the First Capital Connect Class 321 on any Quick Drive enabled route for Train Simulator, such as those available through Steam. Also included are scenarios specifically for the East Coast Main Line London-Peterborough route (available separately and required to play these scenarios).

Five words:

GET THE ARMSTRONG POWERHOUSE VERSION.

I will be replacing it with class 319's for scenarios with the workshop. Sounds are ripped right from the Class 455 DLC and the train does not have any feel of realism. No wonder these ♥♥♥♥ing peices of ♥♥♥♥ devs made it. TO ROB US OF OUR ♥♥♥♥ING MONEY
I give it a -935/17

This is an amazing DLC, which I am referring to Armstrong Powerhouse.
I would say that this is in my top 3 worst DLCs. The sounds are normally bad, but this DLC they are awful. I never knew the 321 had the sounds of a class 483, I'm still sure they don't. When moving, the only sound that actually comes from the train is from the MSO; which has the sounds of the class 455. I wonder what London Midland and Greater Anglia think, it appears FCC have took their units, or maybe it's Dovetail...

F#%K THIS DLC!!

London Overground AND Abellio Greater Anglia NUMBERS?! Class 483 doors SOUND?! Sounds like a CLASS 455?! REALLY HORRID interior?! MORE FLAWS?! I say, do not buy this DLC. Why did I buy this? Because I want to see what it looks like but it was REALLY NOT GOOD when I first saw the interior and the numbers of the 321 like 321413 = London Overground AND 321421 = Abellio Greater Anglia. I am REALLY COMPLETELY REFUSED about this DLC and NEVER will get a Class 321 in ANY Steam Workshop AT ALL of mine and requesting me having Class 321 in ANY Steam Workshop scenario will be REJECTED. Armstrong Powerhouse's Class 321 is really better then the Dovetail Games's one. For just £14.99 for Armstrong Powerhouse. I agree with other peoples negative reviews but THUMBS DOWN if anyone RECOMMEND this DLC. Also, if you got this DLC, do NOT press 5 while driving it, it harms you. Do NOT buy this DLC. It is really APPALLING and REALLY AWFUL.

Adding that, it is my VERY WORST TS add-on I ever bourght. Dovetail Games is just acting like Bowser* laughing of course of earning money. Also, this is on my No. 1 list of my top 5 worst TS DLCs...

Don't touch that loco, don't worry, I NEVER touching this loco AGAIN. Do NOT EVER buy this DLC product if you don't have it. (I wish I can get a refund from Steam...)

This addon is just appalling. *London Midland numbers, 1938 LU door sounds, horrid interior, and many more atrocious flaws. For £11.99 it is an utter joke of a pricetag.

For just £14.99, you'd be far better off with the Class 321 pack from Armstrong Powerhouse, which is universally better in every conceivable way.

*1 This is just an addon so bad that I will personally REFUSE to use this in any future workshop scenario under any circumstance, or even AT ALL for that matter.

easily the worst TS addon I have ever used.

-10/10

*1(Edit) This is following after a few insufferable uses with this 'thing' as Ai.

DO NOT WASTE ANY MONEY ON THIS PIECE OF DLC AT ALL.

There are many flaws with this train.
The sounds are appalling. Clearly they have been rushed and fail to sound like any train in real life let alone the class 321. This is the only add-on where I have had to buy the Armstrong Powerhouse Sound Pack because the DTG version sounds attrocious.
The outside appearance is OK. I find the proportions are wrong, the sides are slanted when they should not be and the level of detail is just not worthy of a £12 add on.
Interior: Utter rubbish. Either nobody went inside the real train and so it is imaginary or the camera used to take the photographs of the interior to then put into the game was damaged in a way that changed the look of the pictures on it. Don't press 5 or your will utter many curses. The description reads "features passenger view" but what they forget to add is that it fails to represent anything meaningful.
So to sum up: The sound, interior and exterior fail to reach any standards of authenticity, userbility or value for money. The price of £12 (minus 1p) is a joke and under no circumstances should you buy this product at full price (or in the sale for all the reasons outlined above) unless you have money to waste and if you do have money to waste, don't buy this as it shows Dovetail Games that the product is good when it is far from it. I spent about £4 on it during a sale and even then it does not repesrent value for money. Really and truly do not buy this DLC. It is an utter joke on every level and at best could be described as a poor effort and at worst a complete rip off and money grabbing move by the makers. If you really want a realisitc class 321, go to Armstrong Powerhouse. It is well worth the £15 (minus 1p) and is a real pleasure to drive. I hope that this discourages you from buying this DLC as it is a waste of money and time. Also, if you get it for free in your inventory, it is as welcome as the U2 album being automatically downloaded onto your iDevice.

Don't buy this product.

Felix

Because of the reasons outlined above, I will not be including it in any more scenarios (unless requested to do so).
