Probably, the most profound and sensitive depiction of the internal struggle of mental patient the video-game world has seen till this day. A person of unknown identity loses control of his memories and sensual abilities and falls into a deep comatose where the memories of his childhood 90s action movies take on a whole new role. The epileptic imagery in the intro might suggest a series of seizures within the temporal lobes of the brain or even the visual cortex over exiting his visual senses making him “see” a combination of memories and hallucinations instead of detecting what surrounds him like with. It is also possible the disturbed visions and colorful memories are the results of the growth of a highly invasive and malignant tumor in the temporal lobes. The case could be similar to Dr. Oliver Sacks’ case of “the passage to India”, where a young girl could vividly see long lost memories of the India of her past after a malignant tumor had grown inside her brain. However the cause of the brain damage to the temporal lobes causing the memories to reemerge are not important, what is to be noted is that these distorted visions of the past brings a certain comfort to the patient. The minds tend to like to compensate for lacks with other things. So the patient while not remembering the exact names of his childhood heroes, his brain renamed them in a way that would sound soothing to him. The struggle lies between recognizing that the visions are mere hallucinations and to face a cold reality of pain or indulge in the fantasy dream world his mind created for him to make him feel happy, like a child again. The visions intermingled with the dreams of a possible comatose has somewhat of a Jungian feel to it. The many characters and objects of his past somehow symbolize many of the figures in his life that he enjoyed the presence of. The characters ad objects are in some way his Jungian dream archetypes. Hailey is the archetype of the child representing his innocence, Thelma his desire to become a hero and achieve glory like his role models, Lance as the father figure he always wished for, Shur foo as the sage etc. Being among his dream archetypes and experiencing a sense a control and belonging pulls him constantly further into his comatose. Eventually, just like Alexander Luria’s “man with a shattered world” , he couldn’t distinguish memories and hallucination and the dreams would repeat themselves over and over again with the same characters his mind created.
The brilliance in this game lies in the fact that it can make us feel the torment of the patient, how such a playful and funny and conforting game could seem more interesting than reality but details such as the Jungian archetypes and the visual and auditif seizures remind us that what can be seen is but a stew illusions. And at that time we can feel the pain the patient feels to be forever stuck in this looping fantasy world and that he will probably never see the “real” world ever again. The pain, the feels.

Bravo arrowhead.

Really fun game that sadly just didn't have the right developers. The payment model is garbage with a cash shop containing just about all the cosmetic items for 1-5 USD. There's only six maps, and the ranking/levelup system is pretty much cosmetic.

The game has some hilariously fun melee and run & gun shooting. It's a blast to run backwards shooting luring someone into the edge of the map, only to jump off the wall, switch to a katana, then slice them in half. There's some small balancing issues, but the game is tweaked very very well overall.

If you can get the game for cheap it's very much worth the money. Though you might want to have some friends to play with since the community is dead. Most of the stragglers are pro players who have learned every exploit and trick in the book and it just isn't fun to get stomped without learning what they did.

The game isn't bad but the connection and the dead community is the problem. It is a halrious game where toy can pick up alomst everything in every map, sad that the community is really dead. Wondering why this got no attention and there are on patches for this.

I recently got back into playing this game with a few friends.
During Beta, this game had massive potential and a fairly active user base. There was always people playing and the servers were plentiful.

It's a simple beat'em'up platformer with a variety of weapons and a fun cast of characters with interesting abilities. The menu system is a particular high point for me, it's fluid and satisfying to use. The game is fairly fast paced, and I found it an absolute barrel of laughs. I have very little to say negatively towards this game, bar the contents next paragraph.

UNFORTUNATELY (And this is the reason for my recommendation): The game is dead. There is, on occasion, one active server within a 300 ping radius of my location, but it's a rare thing. If you can rally up a few friends who also have it, it revs back into action as the lively and entertaining beast that it should have been, but these sessions tend to be few and far between, and are, disappointingly, not worth the purchase.

If you like diving and shooting people inaccurately, THIS IS YOUR GAME!!!! But if you dont like having to try and hit someone with a 4x4 10 times without actually hitting anything, you want to keep looking. BAD GAME!!!!

This is a pretty fun game, I'll admit, but not something that I would reccomend for everyone to play. It is great for fans of old 80's action movies, but I feel that the humor of the game would be lost on anyone else.

It's a good and fun game, but sadly the servers are trash, which in turn drove the players away, and now it's impossible to find a match. Buy it if you have 3+ friends who also are interested in this.

This game would be PERFECT for what its supposed to be but it had 2 fatal flaws
---Its multiplayer and lack of subtution
---Almost no dev support after this game was made
For the people that like ''forbidden fruits'' or mixed review games go get it or if you have friends that already own/play this game and will play this game with you by all means go get it,
Otherwise you should pass. I got it from a humble bundle so if you can score this game for a dollar and buy some extra copies to hand out you will have a blast!

This game is beautiful to play, kill, die, and watch. I don't think I could watch most video games without getting bored. I can watch this game, though.

I can't fault the game for people not playing it. The Developers underadvertised this game. What they should do is bring in a fresh shock of characters. However, I imagine Voice Acting costs money, which this game isn't turning as much right now. I think they were just below the amount to get critical mass, really. The other big issue is this is always online. If there was some sort of single player mode or bots... It feels like if this game had ONE more major feature... be it more characters, single player, bots... or something, it would have be flush with players. I think in the end, Paradox was just too satisfied with it's other titles to give this game the fair shake.

If this thing was Steamworks compatible, it would be a beast.

In my opinion, pick this game on sale with a few friends. You'll have a riot and it's cheaper than a movie.

A really good game that developers should have made F2P a long time ago.

By not doing so, this game is dead as hell!

Do not buy until it reaches F2P.
