About This Game

Dystopia is a cyberpunk game on the Source engine that places the player into tense combat situations in a high-tech world spanned by computer networks. Playing as either Punk mercenaries, or Corporate security forces, the player will fight through the physical world to gain access, via jack-in terminals, to cyberspace.

Cyberspace is a three dimensional representation of the world's network. Inside cyberspace players will launch programs to hack into systems linked to the physical world while fighting off enemy hackers and defending critical systems. Gameplay progresses through inter-linked physical and cyberspace objectives, some are completed in either the physical world or cyberspace, others only by a well timed combination of the two.

The player will be immersed in action packed battles, whether the player is a heavily augmented combat mercenary armed to the teeth with the latest in firepower, or a twitch reflex cyberdecker racing to infiltrate a cyberspace node; they'll be immersed in an action packed battle. Only through skillful use of the high tech arsenal we're making available and intelligent team play will players truly jack-in and kick ass.

Puny Human is a collection of dedicated and talented gamers who are creating this action packed multiplayer game. Dystopia draws on the themes and concepts of the cyberpunk genre and implements ideas born out of years of gaming experience. With a competitive focused gameplay system, we hope to produce the next step in online multiplayer gaming.

One of my best experience in a Half-Life 2 mod. The art, the fluidity, the gameplay, the weapons, the musics, the ambiance... everything came from passion. And this is exactly what the video game "industry" lacks.
Get yourself a HL2 copy (if not already done) and try Dystopia. Jack-in.

Dystopia is the best source mod ever made.
It is a high-skill caped game which requires both teamplay and tactical awareness.
The 16 different primary weapons provide a fresh experience which sets the game ahead from other tactical shooters with standard gunplay , e.g. Counter-Strike.

The official maps are very unique and can provide thousand of hours of fun.
There are also a lot of custom map which bring variety and new concepts. Since neither the developers nor the custom map makers did suffer from any boundaries set by the marketing department to their creativity, the results are simply awesome.

This game is insanely fun and challenging on public servers, but also works as great in 5 vs 5 clan matches.

Im shocked there arent more people playing this, i used to play this all the time when it first came out. Half life 2 ran well on my PC back then, but this didnt lol. Now ive got a better computer and decided to play this and have noticed there arent many people playing this anymore. These guys have turned into a great studio and hopefully will continue to produce quality content. The game is super fun though and has some intersting gametypes and such.

A very fun game that has come and passed. Without a doubt this game deserves a remake in Unreal, because a game made 10 years ago is still better than pretty much every AAA shooter.
