Start your car, a Nissan 240SX, sticks like a magnet on the road, because the developers have moved uncompromising driving behavior toward action. Even the beasts among the 54 original speedsters like Audi R8 or Lamborghini Murcielago can be completely tame maneuver around the curves. The driving behavior strikingly reminiscent of the console racing game Burnout series, but it does it with a murderous pace and dense road traffic calls reflexes. In contrast, plays Need for Speed: Undercover almost leisurely, and in regular cross race cars only in exceptional cases, your ideal line. In addition, because even later routes still stingy with chicanes, Undercover is clearly driving skills least demanding part of the Need for Speed series.

Because after the start of the race's first prize money and reputation. With the former, you buy tuning parts and new cars, the latter also opens up new challenges in the huge, free game world freely navigable and - new - improved your driver values. This much-heralded RPG elements disappoint all along the line. Because you do not have any influence on which increased the ten traits of character. The motivation spiral works just as well as in Most Wanted. Unlike in ProStreet also belongs to it again a real story that tells Undercover with elaborate film sequences. They are - surprise - an undercover cop in a car theft gang working upwards.

That Need for Speed: Undercover despite average graphics and Simple driving physics is still a good racing game, it owes especially its varied tasks. Time you complete a classic race, then you should rampaged a particular cause property damage or specially marked opponents (both gangsters and police) ram scrap heap. A completely new racing version is the so-called Highway Battle - a duel on the highway, where you have to depend on your competitors by at least 300 meters. Whatever the reason: In this mode, there's suddenly the previously missing dense oncoming traffic. And now it is worth also how to slow down in Most Wanted push of a button the time to accurately wind between two trucks through.

Anything that is fun, we already know from Most Wanted. Everything what is new, however, not or only moderately works, from the eyes hostile beam effects, up to much too undemanding driving behavior. Who is a good look for Need for Speed, Buy most wanted. Need for Speed returns to its roots with hokey cutscenes, wild cop chases, and solid racing action. i recommend it only for genre fans!

Score: 73 / 100

Most underated racing game of the past generation. Solid mechanics, great driving feel, kinda on the unglier side, but still super fun. Not as good as Most Wanted 05, but that game isn't even on Steam so this is as close as you can get.

Despite the obvious issues with the game, such as sun glaring into tunnels through the walls and into your eyes, the skyboxes randomly spinning around you, and heavy police SUVs easily outrunning a Veyron, it is a fun game.

It's fun, but a bit too easy at times. Almost depressingly easy. So easy, you'd want to keep a lower-leveled car around just to give yourself a challenge.

No, seriously. Except for one time some dude in a Dodge Viper challenged me to a 1-on-1 race, I still outran him in a 1969 Camaro. Sure, it took me 20+ tries, but I did it.

And finally, children: Don't be afraid to alt+F4 the game if you're about to get arrested and you know you wouldn't be able to afford the impound retrieval costs. It's easier to spend a minute loading the game back up than it is getting enough money to get another car.

One of the most underrated series of nfs.
It has lot of cutscenes, and nice storyline to follow on.
Only two problem makes this game underrated than it has to be.
First problem is the ridiculous difficulty on some races such as I need to beat SLR Mclaren with EVO. But it is not that big because you can get pinkslips as you clear other missions and easily collect money and buy a better car.
The biggest problem is physics which breaks the game and makes player difficult or sometimes almost impossible to control the car.
But overall great game with big open world, Which is the last nfs with STORY, COPS, TUNE UPS, and FREEDRIVE.
See what happened to NFS these days. They are just burnout series with supercars. No more storyline, unique tune ups, and thrills which really suck.

A fully-upgraded Nissan GT-R is faster than a Buggati Veyron. So as you can guess this game is very realistic, a solid 10/10.

Good single player game, multiplayer sucks ♥♥♥, origin is lame and finding and playing with friends in nigh on impossible, I give it a bad review just for this spent 3~ hours messing with firewall settings and router setting and still can't play with my mates,

i sign in ok to EA nations (origin) but i can't create or join any games.

If you want a single player driving game it's OK

but don't expect any help from EA or origin as i tried to contact origin for help via on-line help desk and gave up after 2~ hours wait.

Love NEED FOR SPEED but the support and on-line stuff is run by blind and stupid people.

Other than the extremely irritating A.I. always ramping you into the walls and the citizen vehicles not knowing how to drive, this game is actually pretty fun. The graphics (for its time) are really nice looking, the selection of cars is very well done and the overall controls are fairly smooth. It is an overall good racing game. Need for speed fans should for sure pick this one up if they don’t have it already. 7/10

Great racing game! Does the need for speed series justice. Great vehicles and graphics are nice. Great selections of vehlicles and customizations. The storyline is pretty good but can be pretty boring at times kinda a storyline you would expect out of a need for speed game very similar to others. I would give it a 7/10 rating a good racing game for the racing game lovers out there a must buy for them.

So... Need for Speed:Undercover, I'm impressed. Although that might just be my fanboyism for the series.
Anyways, Here is my review.

Story
Pfft... What story? You're an undercover cop and you are trying to stop bad people from doing bad things.
In all honesty I couldn't follow the story because half the time I just wanted to skip the stupid cutscenes to get back to the action.

Gameplay
Need for Speed Undercover is arcade styled racing game, now that's not really THAT bad since I had no problems with it...later into the game. The truth is in the beginning your car WILL crash into a lot of walls, traffic and cops and it's weird because it never felt as infuriating when I played with a Bugatti because the thing accelerates like a beast. Basically this is what car you should buy for every tier so you don't throw your computer out the window
Tier 4

Lotus Elise - Impossible handling; you'll hardly ever use the handbrake with this car. It also has a decent acceleration. Certainly the top of its tier.

Ford Cosworth - Top speed is one of the best out of all tier 4 cars, but handling is poor. Use this if your driving style includes lots of drifting and power sliding (it's actually quite satisfying to slide around corners instead of turning)

Tier 3

Seriously, just stick with the Elise all the way till you unlock the tier 2 car shop. It's unbelievable handling will allow you to dominate most of the events along the way.

Nissan GT-R R34 - Probably the only car that is decent in all 3 stats. Still clocked a slower timing than the Elise, be it with street or race parts.

Nissan 370Z - It's wierd that the bars show the top speed of the 370Z is less than the R34. The 370Z is actually faster, but the handling is terrible. I say again. Terrible. Not as bad as the Mustang GT or Camaro Concept though.

Tier 2

Dodge Viper SRT10 - Great acceleration and top speed, and surprisingly agile considering most of the other American muscle cars can't turn for nuts. Probably the best of the lot. Only this car enabled me to dominate the master events at levels 9-12.

Porsche GT3 RS - Smoother handling than the Viper, but just a lil bit slower acceleration.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 - Loses out in top speed and acceleration, but seriously, its handling is second only to the Elise.

Tier 1

Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - God knows why they gave this car the highest top speed (and it pwns the others by quite a bit too), and god knows why how this car can turn like that at 200mph, and god knows why it's only $200,000 in-game. Don't think. Just take this car.

If you really want another car, go for the Zonda or McLaren - they've got quite decent acceleration and handling. I've completed the game with the Veyron, but can't say Im pleased with it considering I blasted $375,000 plus parts to get it going.

Replayability
Again, No replayability. Unless you want to play the same race over and over again to buy every car you aren't going to be playing this after you finish the game.

Online
I would say it's good but I can't. There are no people in Online but the Cops and Robbers minigame sounds fun, If you got friends who brought this game then try it out!

Virdict
I never had high expectations for this game but it suprised me. The game feels smooth going at a constant 60 fps,the gameplay can feel slippery but mostly stays solid and you have some(emphasis on some) good music for you to bop your head to while racing.

I give this game a 6.5/10

PS HOW IN THE HELL CAN AN SUV KEEP YOU WITH A VEYRON?!

This game is not bad as it is not good either. I would mostly prefer an ability to have Most Wanted and Carbon in my library.

Terrible game mechanics, it runs jerky as crap with a system well beyond its recommended settings. It's slightly less jerky than the PS3 version.

If there is any version worth checking out of NFS: Undercover it is the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP). Its by far the best iteration to play and still not saying much.

I'm a huge fan of the early series but rather dissapointed in these later releases starting with anything after the first Most Wanted Black version. Have yet to play the Shift series with is supposed to be more simulation like.

+ is good
- Is bad
= Both?

This game is generally an okay racing game.

It is on the lower spectrum of the NFS series (But they are all really good games)

I'll go through some good and bad. I may be a little knit picky about some of these but they just really get to me and maybe a good amount of you.

But there is 1 major flaw that makes this game horrible and fills me with anger every time I see it. And it is quite common

+The racing is fun when you have compeition. You want to win.

+The cars have pretty good handeling. The are nice to drive.

=The story you will understand and will sometimes pick up, but most won't really care and will just get into the racing.

=The map is large and sometimes is okay to roam around in, but you don't get a feeling of exploration and wanting to travel the map like other NFS games made me feel. No sense of adventure

-You are fined WAY too much. You lose money for many things. It gets annoying.

-The soundtrack in my opinion is GOD AWFUL. It only fits to 2 music genres, Country and Hard Rock. If you don't like these genres sometimes it is hard to play hearing it in the background and the music is very unfitting at times. When I am in a tight position with a rival car racing close to the finish, the music plays a soft country tune. I don't like either genres so it feels bad to hear. Annoying.

-You LOSER MONEY for SPEEDING. This game is Need For Speed. You are ment to go fast. I know it is against the "laws" in the game but you get fined for going fast and having fun. Speed is one of the soul points of the game. You get fined during races for speeding, too. I get so angry whenever I see that red light flash of SPEEDING -250. Other than thisd major flaw it is an overall decent racing game. Although I do not reccomend the game it is fun to try out and I suggest you buy it on sale. I got it for $2, so I won't be so harsh on it. But if you want a decent racer, play this if it is on sale.

Can't believe its only been 60 hours! Felt like so much longer in a very satisfying way! (played through a couple of times) I love driving and listening to the sounds the sports cars make! I also like using Nitros in my turns rather than my breaks or e-breaks, so much better than other games!

The absolute worst driving game I have ever played. Graphics aren't what makes the game, and that is the only improvment to the game versus previous ones in the NFS franchise. The story, the physics, the lighting, the races, the AI, EVERYTHING is terrible!

You know what's b*llsh*t? That's b*llsh*t.

Graphics just raрing your eyes. It looks terrible on max settings, like really terrible. And this f*cking color orange is everywhere!
Control f*cks your mind really hard, even Micromachines got more realistic car physics.
Cops are just pathetic civies with sirens.
Other racers are just pathetic civies.
The story, meh, who cares, it's Need for Speed.
SUDDENLY, soundtrack is good, really nice for this kind of games.

But anyway, that's b*llsh*t.
