What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Chronomon is entering Early Access so players can dive into the core adventure early and help shape the game's future. While the main gameplay loop is in place, we’re actively expanding systems like NPC interactions, schedules, dialogue, and world events. Player feedback during Early Access will be key in refining features and guiding development toward 1.0.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently plan to remain in Early Access for around one year, with regular updates focused on expanding features, refining systems and adding deeper relationships with the NPCs.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand on the foundation laid in Early Access. Planned additions include:

  • More side quests and NPC cutscenes
  • Expanded NPC schedules, dating, and marriage
  • Online trading and multiplayer battles
  • Additional seasonal town events and festivals
  • Ports to other platforms beyond PC
  • Localization into many languages

The major focus we are planning to implement is the depth of the world and its characters — from evolving daily schedules and meaningful relationships, to unique seasonal behaviors and friendship progression. Festivals and events will also grow in variety and complexity, giving players more reasons to explore towns year-round.

We plan to roll out regularly throughout Early Access as we work toward a complete 1.0 release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Chronomon is fully playable from start to finish, including:

Main Gameplay
  • Fully playable from start to finish with 7 unique towns
  • Turn-based and real-time monster battles
  • Over 100 Chronomon to catch, raise, and evolve
  • Farm system with monster automation: planting, gathering, breaking objects
  • Seasonal crops, weather, foraging, mining, fishing, and crafting
  • Skill trees, EXP sharing, and passive monster training on the farm
  • Optional dungeon exploration and special boss encounters

    Characters & Social Life
    • 50+ NPCs with unique personalities and daily schedules
    • Friendship system with gifting, mail, and cutscenes
    • Hand-written quests and side stories for each town
    • Multiple dialogue variations and dynamic routines
    • Mail system and news broadcasts

Progression & Replayability
  • Choose your path: Monster Tamer or Farmer
  • Monsters level up through battling or by working on the farm
  • Rare Chronomon, secret evolutions, and collectibles
  • Weekly town job boards
  • 50+ unique crops

While the game is stable and the full storyline is complete, players may encounter minor bugs, missing polish. These will be addressed continuously throughout development.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We originally planned to keep the Early Access price stable through to 1.0. However, to better reflect the incomplete state of the game during development, we reduced the price from $14.99 to $9.99. Early Access buyers have been (and continue to be) fantastic supporters of Chronomon. Thank you! At full 1.0 release, with all the added features, polish, bug fixes, and content, we are likely to return to the original $14.99 price to reflect the completed experience.

”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Chronomon has been shaped by community feedback since the beginning. We regularly run polls and gather suggestions in the official Discord, and many current features exist because players asked for them. Early Access will continue that tradition — your feedback will directly influence updates, balancing, and new features.

This is a game built for the players, by the players.”

About This Game

Set in a post-apocalyptic world teeming with mysterious creatures, Chronomon blends monster taming and farm life into one seamless adventure. Catch them, train them, evolve them, then take the fight to the Epoch Syndicate while you rebuild a farm, reunite seven towns and make a life for yourself among the survivors.

Play solo or bring a friend along in online co-op, and pick up right where you left off on your phone with cross-save for Android and iOS.

Tame over 130 Monsters

  • 132 chronomon across 13 elements, from Fire, Water and Nature to Magic, Spectral and Metal, each with rare variants to hunt down and a ChronoDex to complete.

  • A deep RPG system: 39 skill trees and 350 skills (including 130+ passives) let you shape every monster around your playstyle.

  • 133 Imprints add unique bonuses on top, and landing Perfect Hits with timed attacks rewards skillful play in every battle.

  • Breed, hatch and raise new monsters with eggs, incubators and the daycare.

  • Use them in the world: 8 field abilities like Fly, Dive, Ignite, Zap and Rock Smash open up puzzles, shortcuts and hidden treasure.

  • Put them to work on the farm, where each chronomon has its own job skills for harvesting and production.

Farm after the Apocalypse

  • Grow 30 crops across four seasons, from wheat and strawberries to coffee and the rare Celestial crop, and expand with a greenhouse to keep the harvest going.

  • Cook 50 recipes to keep yourself fed and your team in fighting shape, then sell or trade the surplus with nearby towns.

  • Catch 37 kinds of fish with different baits, including rare collector fish for your museum.

  • Rebuild from scratch: construct apiaries, silos, mills, troughs and fish tanks, and expand your home with 13 rooms like the Kitchen, Forge, Workshop, Hatchery, Techlab and Gym.

  • Craft, smelt and upgrade your tools, research new tech, and decorate the farm and your home exactly how you like.

  • Dress the part with 50+ accessories and outfits collected from every town.

Restore the World

  • Seven towns to save: Camillia Port, Palmshore, Fenland, Chillspire, Solaris, Vice Vale and Obsidian Hollow, each with its own people, shops, quests and job board.

  • Branching, non-linear quests and friendships that grow through conversation, gifts and favors. Choices matter, and every playthrough is different.

  • A living world: a full day/night cycle, four seasons, festivals and 8 weather types including thunderstorms, blizzards and sandstorms that change both battles and farming.

  • Explore procedurally generated mines for ore, gems and fossils, and fill the museum with what you find.

  • Free the survivors from the Epoch Syndicate and its villains, and progress the story your way as a Farmer or a Monster Tamer.

Play Together

  • 2-player online co-op: explore, battle, farm and quest together in the same world. The host sets the rules for who keeps catches, whether gold is shared or split, and whether your friend brings their own team.

  • PvP raids: set a defense team, raid other players' teams on the leaderboards, earn seals and spend them in the PvP shop.

  • Trade monsters with other players.

And There's More

  • 155 achievements, with Steam Achievements and Steam Leaderboards.

  • Arcade cabinets with playable minigames, an arena with matches to bet on, and in-game TV channels for recipes, fishing tips and the weather forecast.

  • Full controller support with rebindable controls.
