About This Game

Examine and test patients for common and novel infections using sophisticated medical instrumentation; isolate and disinfect patients. Enroll in additional programs to diagnose, treat, and potentially perform surgery on patients. 

Rumors of mysterious diseases and human experimentation are unconfirmed.

BASIC PROGRAM

The soft-ware initially presents information about SYMPTOMS OF INFECTION.

Participants will then conduct DIAGNOSIS, TESTING, DISPOSITION, and DISINFECTION procedures:

DIAGNOSIS

• Examine the patient visually

• Interview them

• Run tests

TESTING

• Allow the LAM-ORB Mainframe to process tests

• Initially users of the soft-ware will be of low-priority to the Mainframe

• You may request to EXPEDITE processing to the Mainframe, every click counts

• (NEW) The Mainframe may be BUSY at times; you may RETRY/OVERRIDE pathogen identification

DISPOSITION

• Make sure you identify all SYMPTOMS OF INFECTION

• Make sure you indicate the finding of infectious patterns or pathogens in the tests

DISINFECTION

• Transfer infected patients to the ISOLATION WARD

• Follow DISINFECTION PROCEDURES

ATTENTION: Some patients may present comorbidities or symptoms that not necessesarily represent an underlying disease.

(NEW) ADVANCED PROGRAM

Experienced participants will be able to enroll in the ADVANCED PROGRAM, where they will test their psychological, ethical, and technical preparedness to DIAGNOSE and TREAT OBSERVATION WARD patients.

Participants may be required to assist in disinfection-related clinical directives in other wards, and may be subjected to TESTS and an AUDIT.

• DIrectly DIAGNOSE and TREAT patients; revisit them at discretion

• Administer different medications; provide different treatments (incl. experimental ones)

• Encounter RARE INFECTIONS DISEASES such as PROGRESSIVE PUTRIS and OCUSBOLIA

• Do NOT disturb PSYCHIATRIC WARD patients

The soft-ware tries to emulate as close as possible the experience, technology, and findings of the LAM-ORB organization's research during the 1970s. Rumors about the reason of the sudden disappearance of the organization include human experimentation, chimeric pathogen development, and secret medical research.
