What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Votica is a strategy/simulation game that we aim to develop together with the players. While the core mechanics of the game are already in place, we want to fine-tune the balance, add new content, and deepen the overall experience by gathering feedback from different play styles. During this process, the opinions of the player community will serve as a guiding force in both the mechanical and thematic evolution of Votica.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to leave Early Access in the second half of 2027. First, a ground-up rebuild of Votica arrives in early 2027 as a free update. We will add a firm date for 1.0 to this page only when we are confident we can keep it.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“A great deal. Votica is being rebuilt from the ground up, and 1.0 will grow out of that new version, not the one on sale today. The rebuild arrives in early 2027 as a free update and launches single-player: the current multiplayer mode and the mini-games are being retired. Multiplayer is planned, but we will not give it a date until it is ready. The full plan for 1.0 goes up on this page when the rebuild ships.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Votica is currently in a playable state, and the core gameplay loop is fully functional. Players can create their characters and complete 12-turn election campaigns in either single-player or multiplayer modes.

The demographic structure is randomly generated, action systems are operational, and some actions include mini-games. AI opponents and a basic balancing system are active. However, some mechanics are still under development, and aspects such as in-game balance, content variety, user interface, and overall flow will be further improved based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. A few weeks before Votica leaves Early Access, the price rises to the 1.0 price, and we will announce the new price on this page at least 60 days before it changes. Buy it before then and the rebuild, 1.0 and every later update are yours at no extra cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam discussions, in English and Turkish. We read every review and bug report, and before the rebuild ships we will run a playtest, so players can try it first and tell us what to fix. Every update comes with patch notes that say what changed and why.
Additionally, we may run small experimental updates in the form of beta patches, allowing players to directly contribute by testing specific feedback-driven changes.”

About This Game

Votica is being rebuilt

We are rebuilding Votica from the ground up. The new version arrives in early 2027 as a free update for everyone who owns the game, and replaces the version on sale today, described below. The rebuild launches as a single-player game: the current multiplayer mode and the mini-games are being retired, and we plan to bring multiplayer back once it is ready. Follow Votica on Steam to hear the details first.
