Get ready for a fresh update to the demo, packed with some awesome quality-of-life improvements and level adjustments. We've heard your feedback and made a bunch of tweaks to make your gameplay experience even smoother and more fun.
Notably, in Level 5 no more risk of spawnkill at Checkpoint 2 (Entschuldigung HollaDieWaldfee und Maxim, but thank you for showing us that this is something that could happen).
Level 6, Spikeridge Pathway, has been made a bit easier, and you'll find more cool decorations throughout all the levels.
Dive in and check out all the details below!

General
  • Added boulders to all levels. Boulders are non-hazardous obstacles, similar in size to the smaller palm trees.

Gameplay
  • Players are no longer locked out of jumping before reaching checkpoint 1 in the tutorial.

Level 1 - Instructional Beach
  • Added the Starbar, and a palm forest behind it, at the start of the level.

Level 2 - Around the Bend
  • Added more walls to bend around, especially in the later stages of the level.

  • Adjusted the placement of checkpoint 3 to be closer to the path forward.

  • Made the path forward from checkpoint 3 more obvious.

Level 3 - Baaahdside Docks
  • The name has been changed to better fit the enemy models.

  • Adjusted the starting segment to keep the focus on one aspect of the enemies at a time.

  • Changed the ending segment to make it easier to wait for the first enemies to walk off the platform.

Level 4 - The Old Tropic Pathway
  • No changes except for boulders :)

Level 5 - Teeming Islands
  • Moved the first enemy closer to the wooden platform.

  • Widened the platform that checkpoint 2 is on to prevent a potential spawnkill from happening if you trigger the enemy and take the checkpoint before killing said enemy. (Entschuldigung HollaDieWaldfee und Maxim, but thank you for showing us that this is something that could happen)

  • Made the ending segment easier by removing some of the platform on the right side.

Level 6 - Spikeridge Pathway
  • The second segment is now the second-to-last segment instead to better fit the difficulty scaling of the level.

  • Fixed a bug which sometimes caused spike walls to not kill the player.

  • The now second (previously third) segment had one of the brittle platforms replaced with a sturdy wooden platform.

  • The now fourth (previously second-to-last) segment has been made easier by widening some platforms, and making the blocking walls triangular to allow earlier arm extensions.

  • These changes have made the level overall slightly longer.

Level 7 - Longbend Bounce
  • Replaced almost half of the palm trees in the ending segment with water pools.

Level 8 - Dodge, Dip, and Dive
  • No changes except for boulders :)

Guild Hall Simulator: Prologue - Obsessive Games
Hi everyone!

Dropped a new patch today, watched a few YouTube videos about the game and it was great to see the feedback provided, and not so great seeing all these bugs popping up haha. Do not fear though as I have used my hammer of justice to smash some bugs already.

✅ Bug Fixes
  • Queuing positions for the NPCs are now fixed with the shop and at the reception desk.
  • Quests no longer dissapear on the quest board on save and load.
  • Tutorial text placement fixes.
  • Purchasing a cabinet and placing items inside of cabinets works as intended now.
  • Money glitch resolved (naughty naughty).
  • When opening the TAB menu while assisting an adventurer with his cut from the quest now still allows you to interact with everything after closing TAB menu.

🔧 Next Up (In Progress)
  • Character model changes (anime style incoming) -> 50+ unique characters.
  • More adventurers to go to Guild Hall faster on Fame and Guild Level increase.
  • Voice changes & improvements.
  • Interaction changes -> no need to always interact with the reception desk / basket before interacting with the NPC.

Here are the details for changes made in v1.13:
  • Credits Screen: Fixed an issue where the font size in the credits could appear too small for English language users
  • Font Rendering: Improved an issue that caused glitched text for some users
  • The "Perfectionist" Achievement: I've improved the conditions for the "Perfectionist" achievement. You can now unlock it by achieving Max Respect and learning all Aptitudes across different playthroughs, rather than needing to do both within a single run
  • Billy's Cutscene: Fixed a cutscene bug where Billy could be positioned awkwardly inside the kiosk during a special event
  • Minor Bug Fixes: Addressed various minor bugs throughout the game

I'm back from vacation and the next update (the "Raids Update") is also almost ready, and you can start to test it. v0.800 is now available on the development branch:

  • Added the ability to create safe areas.

  • Added a button to switch to an emergency state causing all units to retreat into safe areas.

  • Added health points to buildings.

  • Added the ability for enemies to attack buildings.

  • Added a repair job for heroes to repair damaged buildings.

  • Added a raid system sending enemies to attack the colony.

  • Added a gameplay setting to control the raids frequency.

  • Added health points to enemies in colony mode.

  • Now when losing a fight, enemies will also lose health points and when coming back to attack the same group, it will be less populated.

  • Added constructible defense weapons (with traps and projectiles).

  • Added the ability to display a layer with all positions covered by defense weapons.

  • Added a rearm job to refill defense weapons.

  • Added walls with arrowslits to allow ballistas to shoot through.

  • Added a workshop to build defense weapons ammunitions.

  • Added warning messages when a raid is detected or buildings are attacked.

  • Added a mood malus when heroes flee from combat.

  • Various fixes to the job attribution system.

  • Fixed UI issues with widescreens, and added back the ability to scale down the UI.
