Γιατί Πρόωρη πρόσβαση;

«Cepheus Protocol is a large game still in active development. Early Access lets us keep shipping improvements while working closely with the community. There will be bugs and rough edges, but your feedback directly helps shape what we build next.

How often do we update?
We push minor updates and bug fixes regularly, usually at least once per week. Hotfixes go out as needed when issues impact gameplay.

Bigger feature updates land every month or two. These often appear first in our Experimental build on Steam so players can test new systems early without disrupting the main branch. Once changes are stable and polished, they roll into the core game.

Major updates
Major builds like 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 and beyond take longer because they combine multiple large changes across gameplay and content. Each major build focuses on improving core systems and expanding the game with new mechanics, units, weapons, vehicles, animations, and locations. Because we are a small team, some features may be developed by only one person at a time, which can affect timelines, but we share progress often through previews and developer streams.

Community involvement
As major updates get close, we invite the community into the Experimental build to test and give feedback. After collecting feedback for several days or weeks, we make the needed fixes and adjustments before pushing the update publicly. We do internal testing first, but community testing catches real world edge cases fast.

Bug fixes
We aim to fix serious issues quickly and keep you informed when something takes longer than expected. If you are reporting bugs, thank you. That is a big part of what makes Early Access work.

What can slow development?
Sometimes progress is impacted by engine updates, tool changes, team availability, or unexpected issues. Even when that happens, we will stay transparent, keep communicating, and keep moving the game forward.»

«How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

We plan for the full version of Cepheus Protocol to be broader in scope and more feature-complete than the current Early Access build. Early Access is focused on improving core systems, expanding content, and using community feedback to refine balance, performance, and overall gameplay flow.

Planned additions and scope
We plan to support multiple ways to play, including:
  • Pandemic Mode expanded and polished as the core sandbox experience
  • Co-op features and progression improvements where they make sense for the mode
  • Horde Mode with additional missions and long-term replayability
  • Special Operations style missions with more directed objectives and scenarios
  • Story or Campaign content delivered in a form that fits the game’s systems and pacing

Overall improvements
Beyond new content, we plan to raise the quality bar across the board compared to Early Access, including stability, performance, UI, onboarding and tutorials, animations, balance, and long-term progression. As development continues, priorities and scope may evol

Our current plan is:
  • A small price increase after the conclusion of our upcoming reveal period, currently targeted around Q1 to Q2 2026.
  • Another small increase when the game leaves Early Access and reaches full release.

We will provide advance notice before any price change.

If you buy the game during Early Access, you will receive the full release version automatically at no additional cost.
