What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We have chosen to go down the Early Access road to make sure our game is as amazing as we invasion it to be, we have focused on getting the most basic core features down which amounts to a back end system and a basic quiz functionality.

We hope that by doing Early Access we can get feed back from our community and work with you to make our game amazing, from getting your opinion on art and assets we plan to use in game, to getting you to take part in large scale tests. We even hope to get your ideas for modes we could add to the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are aiming for a release some time at the start of 2019.

At present the game has some of the core game play aspects functional but they still need a little work, after we get the core quiz system down we will still have some work to do before release we will need to work with our community to make sure our game fits our theme along with helping us make the game something more than just a quiz platform.

We want to make our game to be more than just another quiz, we want 3D environments, mini-games and so much more, but we need the help of our community to realise this dream both with ideas and functional testing.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During the Early Access version of our game, we will allow being allowing access to basic quiz mode. When we fully release the game we hope to have more quiz modes, along with maps and potentially community downloadable maps though this is still an idea for now.

We also want to work on more features after release, with the core game having been made, we want to work on "Home Hubs" which will allow a player to create a little environment they design themselves importing and using assets from the game maps.

We also want to work Voice overs for questions using famous YouTube personalities, like our brand partner and friend BulletBarry.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We are on a strong path right now, we have the initial map mostly finished with meshing left to be done and some "quirks" to be ironed out, our multiplayer system is not how we envisioned it thanks to the deprecation of Unet however this has introduced us to a new system that should allow for large lobbies and more fun.

So what features are ready for you now:

1 - Interactive 3D environment: We wanted more than just a mobile port to Steam of a quiz game, so we have used our budget to invest in some amazing feeling maps we plan to add so much more to the map in the coming weeks.

2 - Quiz functionality: Well this is a kinda duh one but we have been working on the quiz system at present it is REALLY basic, knowing only when a user got a question right and which user that was.
but that is not where our functionality for the quiz lies, we have worked VERY hard on a back end system to make the quiz which is robust enough to stand the test of time, it should allow our game to grow with limited to no hassle. So to get our quiz system to the level we have it now we had to do a lot of designing of our database schema and working out how to setup relational system in the best way to give a quick seamless experience for the player.

As the weeks move forward each of these features will be refined and worked to make them as perfect as we can, when we are done or at least at a state where bugs are so rare we can move on to working on other features as well we will start to add more to the game, we have many things planned thanks to our discord server who keep bombarding us with amazing ideas.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“This will depend on the value we see in the game. At present the value of the game is low as we have not fully envisioned our idea, but when we have reached a point where the game is how we see it in our heads we will price accordingly. what we can say is that NONE of the team want to see this game selling for more then $7 (usd) we are not a triple A studio and charging anymore would feel wrong to those who have supported us thus far.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our community is a core part of the development of our game, the game is designed for you the player to make it yours so we want you to help make the game, help us via our discord and regular videos update to make assets, improve settings and make the game show its full potential

if you are interested in helping us out and having some input into the game you can join our discord here https://discord.gg/CDVuxG5 or visit our website which along side our store release will get an over haul to include a feed back and suggestions section http://trivatune.com”

About This Game

TrivaTune is a music Trivia game where users compete in a multiplayer world to prove they are the music king, you will be asked questions with multiple choice options and possibly in the future even get presented with an audio question where a track is played to you and you have to guess who the artist is or what the title or album are and maybe even the release year is but the audio part is still in the development phase.

As our game grows we hope to add more modes and system to embrace the player even more in our fun quirky environments.

TrivaTune is a pure passion project with a small team working to make the game in our vision, we want to capture those moments
in the car when your fave song comes on and you all start singing as if you were at the O2 arena.

SO please enjoy our game as much as we enjoy making it!
