“We believe that involving the community in the game development process is a crucial part of creating a good game. This is especially true in the management simulation genre. Player feedback in the early stages of development is the most important ingredient for finding the right game balance and pacing. The game has reached a stage in which the core mechanics are stable and the most important frameworks are finished. Now it’s about forming the best game experience together. The community is very important to us and we’re excited to see it grow through Early Access and beyond.”

Aproximadamente durante quanto tempo vai este produto estar em Acesso Antecipado?

“Our estimated time until the final release is somewhere between 8 and 14 months from the initial Early Access launch. It strongly depends on the expectations and the support of the community, however. It’s also a matter of when we feel that additional features won’t lead to major improvements in the core game experience any more.”

Qual vai ser a diferença entre a versão final e a versão de Acesso Antecipado?

“There are a number of bigger features that we want to add during the Early Access period. We have plans to increase the amount of content in the game continuously by adding new product types, new facility mechanics, and expanding the technology tree. The most important features we will add, however, are a cooperative multiplayer mode and modding support. Of course, along the way we want to refine and balance our simulation and polish already existing mechanics.”

Qual é o estado atual da versão de Acesso Antecipado?

“The core loop of the game is already in place. That is acquiring base materials, crafting and assembling products, and selling products on a market. You can already do some basic facility building and expand your company by hiring new employees. You can design your own robots and adjust their features to increase your sales in the market. There’s also a research system which lets you unlock new technologies and extend your capabilities in production and logistics.”

O jogo vai ter preços diferentes durante e depois do Acesso Antecipado?

“After leaving the Early Access period the price of the game will probably be slightly increased to better reflect the completed feature set of the game.”

Como estão a planear incluir a comunidade durante o processo de desenvolvimento?

“We hope to engage in detailed discussions about the direction of Good Company with our community and believe there are several areas the community can help us with. We are always open to feature requests and suggestions for ways to improve the game. We also believe that community feedback is a vital part of shaping the game’s balance and difficulty. We want Good Company to offer a challenge but above all be satisfying to play and allow for interesting player choices. Feedback helps reach that goal and ensures we build a game that can cater to many different tastes and expectations within the simulation genre. In addition, as soon as we have mod support up and running, we want an active dialogue with the modding community to help shape the kinds of tools and interfaces modders want to use.

Gameplay Elements in Full Bloom

Hello fellow CEOs,

Today we’d like to boost your spring fever by bringing you up to speed as to what we have been working on recently.

Good Company is in full bloom, we’ve added lots of nice features relating to visual assets and UI elements. New workplaces, environmental decoration and a new title screen, to mention only a few. Our audio design is also making good progress, with the soundtrack offering almost 20 tracks, and counting.





The biggest efforts go into the gameplay, however.

We have implemented the research system, which lets you sample components and yields science points. These science points can then be invested in unlocking various technological routes. At first, you start small and focus on the basics. Then, step-by-step, the research opens up more possibilities for fancy product designs, which will be a lot of fun in Good Company.

Speaking of which, in order to give more depth to what you can produce, we’ve defined a simple set of basic materials you have to buy. Anything else can be built out of these materials, so you don’t have to rely so much on external suppliers. From crafting screws or plastic cases leading to far more complex things, everything’s up to you and your company.

We have also refined the market in Good Company, giving you more control of analyzing its dynamics. Our new visualization system gives you a great overview of how the amounts, pricing and sale frequency correlate and influence market demand, so you can optimize your financial flow.



Furthermore, we have introduced new means of visual accessibility to the game, that makes item routes and employee assignments in production processes a lot easier to understand. Other than that, we are constantly streamlining our front- and backend, optimizing the balance of the game and busting bugs wherever possible, in order to make Good Company a stable and fun game to play.

That said, we’re still somewhat away from a version we can happily share with you for alpha testing. We want to give you the best possible experience, even in this early stage, and some things need to be improved for this. Good News for Good Company!

Hello future CEOs,

We are super excited! Good Company is more and more coming to life, which means: soon you will have the chance to play our corporate machinery simulator without having to queue up at our booths :)

Today we want to share with you some details on what we have been working on recently – and what will be coming next, of course.

After running internal playtests, gathering player feedback while showcasing Good Company, and analyzing streams of a few influencers, we’ve decided to go for a more direct approach regarding employee management. We want to give players more control over production processes. Instead of taking on contracts with specific demands, you can now continuously design and assemble products of your choice and sell them on the general market for the highest profit. Finding a balance between product quantities and setting the right market price is the key to success.



And now to some more exciting news! We are happy to announce our partnership with The Irregular Corporation, who recently brought PC Building Simulator to a successful launch. It’s great to have such a passionate and experienced team at our side. TIC will handle the publishing of Good Company and assist us in general, so we can fully focus on the development and improvement of the game itself.

And a probably even more important partnership is coming up – with you, our community! With your support, we want to make Good Company a truly outstanding management simulation. As a start, we want to conduct an early alpha via Steam, prior to Early Access. Working closely together with our community will be essential to balance Good Company, test various features, and make the game more stable to be ready for Early Access.

The early alpha will be scheduled for late April or early May. Everyone who is eager to participate can join our Discord Server, where we are in direct and quick contact with the Good Company community.
