What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We have decided to present the game just a bit earlier to let players enjoy it and help it grow. Part of the changes to come will include new features as well as some finalised art.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect the game to be finished by Q2 2019.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the final version, we plan to add co-op and skirmish modes with expanded gameplay as well as improved weapons, art, levels, and adding more enemies and some extra features.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At this point, all features have been added (refer to the "Features" section below) and is playable.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No, the price will not change when we leave Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be keeping in touch with the community as well as letting the community know about the improvements we are making. We are also taking this time to smooth out any issues as well as get the community involved as to the progression of the story as well as the future implementation of certain features. The community can get involved in the development via the Steam community forums or via our social media. A subreddit may come at a future date.”

What happened to Negative Type?

As with Yoltrund, Negative Type had spent time in a release sinkhole. So, what exactly is going on?

Let's get a few things out of the way; us (Templarius) are not developing the game, and the game is pretty much finished. The fault is on us; not the developer.

If that's the case, why is the game not released? Because we encountered issues in releasing the game. There are a few issues and some functionality that needs to be added over time, however, as with Yoltrund, we are stuck in a release cycle with Valve where we simply can't get approval to release. It's been a lot of "he said, she said" with us in the middle relaying messages.

At this point, the developer has moved on to another project while we try and get this one out there for you to enjoy. We are deeply sorry for the hiatus and hope to get Negative Type released soon. We enjoyed the game and want you to enjoy it too.

About This Game

Templarius Games Studios is proud to present a production by ROD Interactive.

ROD Interactive proudly presents a story of Nate Byrne in a mission that exposes something dangerous and hidden under curtains.

Sent to retrieve a missing scientist on behalf of AltGen leader Jacob Herman, Unit For Special Operations member Nate Byrne is unaware just what he could uncover. Renowned for his determination and not failing a mission, Nate thinks this is a simple cut and dry search and retrieve mission. However, fate has other intentions for him.

What secret could be so bad to warrant sealing underground? A secret so dangerous that it could result in an uncontrollable outbreak if released.

Byrne is just about to find out...

Using the power of the Unreal Engine, prepare for creepy hallways and terrifying enemies all in beautiful Unreal quality.
