Miksi Early Access?

We want to receive a wider range of input from the community and feel that the game is already good enough for a bigger audience despite some rough edges and lack of polish here and there.
But we have to mention that the game is very much playable but, we will improve our content and reflect the user's experience through users' Early Access feedback.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

Around one or two months.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

We have a lot of planned features for release such as Level Editor ,Custom Game Modes, Pets, and API to create content, but currently, Early Access provides fewer contents than the full version, and bonus stages will be added to the full version. In addition to the planned features, we actively listen to our community and new ideas are always welcome. There will be some changes to the game artwork. And we are preparing custom events for our community. In-game UI is also constantly being improved

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The base game is all there and everything is completely playable. This so far includes one stage, with 21 different tasks to complete and up to 12-15 online multiplayer. Please refer to the about section for more detailed information about the game and its features.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

Yes, the game will become a free-to-play title once it's fully developed.

Yes, we actively listen to our community for new ideas on our Steam Workshop page and we will definitely follow the reviews on Steam as well as our Discord and Twitter Channels.

Pretend is an arcade game, a clone of Among Us and an adaptation of the classic party games Mafia and Werewolf. It is a game of murder, accusations, deceit, and survival.
Play with 4-15 players online or via the local network, as you attempt to uncover who pretends to be a worker - by completing tasks and discussing with other co-workers.

How to Play


Pretend Has 2 Unique Roles.

Before a game starts, players are put into a lobby. Players are then assigned roles randomly from the start. Players have an in-game role card that explains their role's abilities and alignments.

Each role has specific goals, and they are listed below -





You are sent by a large software company into the office of a small indie group - and your main goal is to destroy them and prevent the release of their software.

  • Kill the employees to destroy the company.
  • Pretend to run tasks and avoid getting exposed.
  • Sneak through ventilation, to move faster.
  • Sabotage, in order to cause chaos.






You are a hard-working fellow, whose main goal is to finish developing the software by completing tasks or find out who is pretending to be an employee.

  • Complete tasks in order to develop the software and win.
  • Find out who the pretender is, by discussing and analyzing other employees
  • Use security cameras and other tools in order to expose the pretender.
  • Chat and vote out the suspected pretender.
  • Eat food and go to the toilet to ensure a good daily routine.
