Hello Everyone,

Please find below a list of changes:

  • The "Silver Ring" can not be picked up before completing the associated puzzle.
  • Fixed a bug where the mouse sensitivity would revert to default after examining an object.
  • Rotatable "Pictures" now have the correct position when loading.
  • General optimisation fixes.

Official Release & Update 1.02f

Hello everyone,

Well, we finally made it. Its been a long few months... Today, the game leaves Early Access.

We would like to thank everyone who has participated in playing and testing the game. We are truly grateful with suggestions and feedback. With your help, we believe we have developed a great game that many have already enjoyed.

The final few issues and bugs have now been addressed. Change list can be found below:

a) Improved optimisation greatly so that the game now runs smoother on all machines.
b) MAC OS version has been released.
c) Fixed an issue where the painting puzzle would not work upon completion.
d) Fixed an issue where solving one of the locker puzzles, it would not open.
e) Fixed an issue where changing character would result in black bars top and bottom of the screen.
f) Fixed an issue where putting on the glasses would result in it toggling off even though glasses UI was being shown.
g) Changed spelling and grammar to reflect characters dialogue.
h) Greatly Improved shadows throughout
i) Fixed an issues where the settings were not saving correctly.
j) Fixed an occasional bug where the projector would not show anything when using.

Once more, if you encounter any issues while playing please let us know in the community threads, and please update the game to acquire the latest version of the game.

About This Game

The Initiate 2: The First Interviews is a first person mystery puzzle game set in a secret remote location, and tells the story of three individuals as they try to escape their mysterious captors.

With little memory of how they got there, three people awake in adjacent cells. A voice bellows from a wall speaker. "Welcome to your trial - Your goal is simple, escape or die".

This is the story of Samantha Blake - a distraught mother who lost her child during complex brain surgery, Benjamin Clarke - an alcoholic whose life was turned upside down with the death of his wife in a horrific car accident and Stephen Parfitt - a college professor and author who is starting to give up on life with an ever changing World.

Three strangers - forced to work together to survive captivity - each searching the answers, the redemption and the peace of mind that they so desire.

Can you unravel the mystery behind your captivity, and most importantly, can you escape this treacherous and sinister ordeal?

Remember: No-one is safe. Nothing is as it appears.

    Play as three characters, each with a unique background, in an attempt to escape your captivity. Encounter a unique story shrouded in mystery and conspiracy told over the course of this mystery puzzle horror adventure.

    The Initiate uses Physical Based Shaders (PBS) for AAA-quality graphics that give players a detailed world to explore.
