Why Early Access?

“We would like engage our community more in the development of SRC through its final stages. This is in order to improve the quality of the game(gameplay, levels, UX) with a larger more open environment. We have been working on SRC since the start of 2018 and believe it has a solid foundation of gameplay, content and mechanics.”

“We’re planning to be in early access for 5 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will feature additional level content and gameplay improvements. The full version will include single player trials mode, online multiplayer competitive mode and a user generated championship mode.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version has the following base content:
  • Trials Mode: A single player race against the Global leaderboard on any track.
  • Ghost racing system: Download times from the Global leaderboard and race directly against their Ghost.
  • Basic online multiplayer: Race against up to four players in real time multiplayer, players are ghosted but can interact and trigger obstacles on track.
  • Player character customization: Sprint robot mesh and decal customization.
  • 10 unique tracks across 2 Environments: Every track brings its own unique mix of obstacles and challenges.
  • 2 Race modes: Sprint, a point to point dash to the finish-line. Race, multiple laps on a single circuit.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

  • Ghosts: Ghost recording is reset when restarting a race,
  • Ghosts: Ghost playback now more accurately represents a players run,
  • Gameplay: Getting stuck for more than 4 seconds will automatically reset you,

  • Ghosts: Slide Animation doesn’t play on Ghosts, instead they sink slightly into the ground while sliding,
  • Gameplay: When restarting a race your split time will sometimes read 0.2 seconds more than it should, this bug is purely visual and won't affect your times,
  • Gameplay: On very rare occasions Slider obstacles on Snowbound will get stuck,
