What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The first episode is completely playable from start to finish, but we need to know what still can be improved in terms of the story, flow and overall gameplay elements, as well as bugs or lack of tutorial. Of course, we played the game countless times ourselves, but we're a small team and there's only so much we can test. We need your help to finish Elea!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Elea will be in Early Access for 2-3 months. During this period, we'll be paying close attention to your feedback through the Steam Community hub and engage in conversation with all of you! We’re not going to abandon this game in Early Access, we just need your last bit of feedback to do this right!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Right now, episode 1 is 80% done. The remaining 20% will be added in the full version of the game. On top of that, the game will be optimized according to your feedback during the Early Access period. The final version’s story will not be drastically different from the Early Access version, it’ll just be a more polished version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently 80% done. All we need right now is your feedback to polish the game! There might be bugs, or you might get stuck not knowing what to do. These are the things we’d like to know! As said before, the story won’t be drastically different in the final version, but rather more polished.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Even though the game is already 80% complete, the game has a discounted price during the Early Access period to thank all the fans for testing and helping us finish the game. The final pricing is still being discussed. We can’t stress enough that we can’t do this without you!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“During the Early Access period we'll be very active on the Steam Community hub and our social media. We'll discuss everything that you like or don’t like about the game. This way, we believe we can use your feedback to finish and polish Elea and do this right!”

About This Game

Elea: Memories

Elea is a surreal sci-fi adventure game in which you play as space scientist Elea. In 2073, Earth was struck by a horrid childhood disease and Elea’s husband Ethan joined an expedition to colonize Solace, a habitable exoplanet, to save humanity from extinction. The interstellar ship he was on, Pilgrimage, went radio silent shortly after it reached planet Solace. Thirteen years later, Elea joins a recovery mission to investigate the faith of the expedition. What follows is a wondrous journey through space.

  • Unravel a rich, touching story inspired by books of classic sci-fi writers
  • Submerge yourself in amazing graphics powered by Unreal Engine 4
  • Discover gorgeous space environments, spectacular vistas and detailed interiors
  • Expect the unexpected on this curious journey through outer space

Elea is a game that takes the player on the deeply personal journey of a woman, whose life is marked by loss, grief and self-accusation in the aftermath of a global pandemic that turned her youngest boy into a raging psychopath. Luckily, an Earth-like exoplanet within an achievable distance from the Solar system had been recently discovered. Pooling volunteers from around the globe, a first-of-a-kind interstellar spacecraft was built and sent to colonize the yet unexplored planet. The gargantuan ship was named Pilgrimage, embodying the hopes of all of the humanity. To everyone’s dismay, shortly after a successful arrival, the Pilgrimage went on total radio silence. What caused it remains a mystery.

13 years later, research starship Recovery has arrived on site to investigate the fate of the expedition. The player takes the role of the space scientist River Elea Catherine Jones. She is driven above all by a personal goal – to find her husband Ethan, who occupied a prominent position on the Pilgrimage’s scientific crew. By putting the character up against events and phenomena which are beyond human grasp, the game aims to defy the conventional notions of personal accountability, choice and meaning of life. It is a story about our fragility as a species, about finding solace through surrender.
