What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Due to the simulated nature of the game we need as many people playing it from as early stage as possible. We also want to cultivate a very active community who cares a lot for the game and is willing to help us shape it's development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our plan is to be out of Early Access after one year. However feedback from the community may mean we implement features or modify existing ones in such a way that it means we are in Early Access for longer than we originally thought. This is not bad because it means the game will become even better than we originally envisioned.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will contain much more content. We want much more fish, plants, decorations and fish tanks as well as much smarter fish AI. We also plan to have a proper progression system where the player must complete milestones in order to unlock units and make use of all the game's features without being overwhelmed. We also want to add features that we have not even thought about yet but will be suggested to us by the game's community and of course there are some features that we are not ready to talk about yet.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version contains most of the core systems that will be developed further during the Early Access period. There is currently only one game mode which is a sandbox mode where players can construct their creations without any constraints. Since this is the very first Early Access release the amount of content is a bit modest. Currently there are 3 species of fish, 5 species of plant, a range of rocks, driftwood pieces and a other naturalistic decorations. These numbers will increase as we frequently update the content of the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The amount of features and content in the game will grow substantially during the Early Access period but we have no plans to increase the price until after the game has left Early Access. This is our way of saying thank you to all the players who support us during the Early Access phase of development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan on talking to our community as much as possible and we will be posting regular updates of our progress and plans for future updates via the discussion forums.”

About This Game

FISHERY is a physics based aquarium simulator where players design and maintain a miniature aquatic ecosystem.

Aquarium Simulation
The biological happenings inside an aquarium are complex and delicately balanced. There are many layers of simulation and all are interconnected. You will need to maintain the needs the of fish and plants while keeping the water clean. Keep a balance of temperature, oxygen, nutrients and more in order to keep everything working in perfect harmony. Or you can neglect it and let it turn into a bucket of toxic sludge.

Interior Design
Our fish are happiest when their habitat is nicely decorated. Populate the aquarium with various plants, rocks, pieces of driftwood and an assortment of ornaments.

Sculpting
An aquarium does not just have water in it. Shape the earth to create a dramatic miniature landscape
