What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Early access is a great way for us to receive feedback from the community and incorporate it into the game. We want Railroad Corporation to be the best it can be and receiving feedback from real players at this stage is a huge help, especially for such a complex game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Railroad Corporation will be in Early Access for around 4 to 6 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will include the game’s complete story and the ability to continue to play all missions after your goals are complete. These later missions will feature AI opponents, a stock market mechanic and more. Multiplayer will gain a new map, and our updates will focus on game balancing, bug fixes and general gameplay improvements. We do plan on including the most popular community suggestions and ideas, so please feel free to leave your feedback on the Steam discussion board!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game includes the first chapter of the story, alongside a full Tutorial and a multiplayer Beta. There are still some rough edges, such as lack of balance, possible bugs and missing/incomplete visual content. For a list of all the features currently implemented in the game please refer to the "About This Game" section.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will release into Early Access at a discount - the price will increase during final development until the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan on paying very close attention to the forums and social media to implement as much feedback as we can in a timely manner. Whether it’s bug reports, ideas or general constructive criticism; we love to hear from you!”

Railroad Corporation Challenge Update: The Wonderful Forest

Hello everybody,

Since the Early Access launch, we have changed and simplified a lot in Campaign mode. Nevertheless, we always wished for hardcore elements to be present in the game, so that players could use their experience on more challenging tasks. Thankfully, we have received many requests from this community that supported us in taking this direction.

Today, we are sharing with you the first challenge - The Wonderful Forest.

The Wonderful Forest is a separate scenario with more complex tasks. Although it may be too small for a full-fledged campaign, The Wonderful Forest aims to challenge those of you who feel confident enough to test their experience and skills in the management of Railroad Corporation.

The new challenge is available in the "Free Game" mode, in the "Challenges" tab.

Good luck!

Compete in the Railroad Corporation League!

Are you of the competitive type, really good at the game or dying to try out multiplayer? Participate in the Railroad Corporation League!

The Railroad Corporation League (Ladder) is a form of competition where each player is assigned a position (rank). A lower number means a higher rank on the ladder (better position).

The goal of the competition is to move up the Ladder, ultimately to the #1 position (highest rank). Players move up the Ladder (i.e. improve their rank) by winning Ladder games. Players move down the Ladder (i.e. lose their rank) when they lose Ladder games, and when other players move up the Ladder ahead of them.

After each Ladder game has ended, both players are assigned new positions on the Ladder, depending on their current positions, and the result of the game:

1. If the winning player has a lower rank than the losing player, they are moved up half the distance between their position and the losing player's position. The losing player is moved one position down. (For example, if the winning player was 10th and the losing player was 4th on the ladder, their new positions will be 7th ((10+4)/2) and 5th (4+1) after the game)

2. If the winning player is directly below the losing player, their positions are swapped. (i.e. the winning player is moved one position up, and the losing player — one position down)

3. If the winning player has the higher position, they are moved one position up and the losing player is moved one position down.

4. Challenges can only be issued by below player (10 row above is the max. limit)

Sounds like a fun challenge? Join us on Discord and let us know in the #league channel that you want to claim your spot! Not a member yet? Click here!
