Pourquoi choisir l'accès anticipé ?

« Steam Early Access is great way for me to get feedback on the gameplay elements parallel to the performance capture for this game instead of in series. I have always intended to release the game in this way so I designed the systems to be easy to modify and highly modular to allow for fast iteration based upon feedback. »

The game will spend between three and six months in early access. »

En quoi la version finale sera-t-elle différente de la version en accès anticipé ?

« The full version of the game will Include a full story mode which takes place over a set period of time (two hours) and is designed to be replayed over and over, much like Dead rising, Majora's Mask or a Hitman level. This mode will be fully voiced and performance captured.

In addition to this I will pick fifty of the best challenge scenarios of the hundred plus I will release during early access to make it in to the final game. As well as a few bonus ones that won't receive any public testing.

After this I aspire to add online leader boards for the challenge mode and an asymmetric Co-op mode in which the additional player runs intelligence for the main player. I would also like to add native 3D support and push the graphics as much as I can! »

« The current build has a selection of challenge scenarios and a free roam mode. This is deliberately minimalist so as to facilitate testing of a small but complex group of components first; the User interface, the robustness of enemy AI and the efficacy of Level streaming.

After this in approximately two week intervals new challenge scenarios and features will be added. »

Le prix du jeu sera-t-il différent pendant et après l'accès anticipé ?

« If the game takes three months more of development then it's price will raise about 35% if it takes six months it will raise between 70-100% in price. »

Comment comptez-vous impliquer la communauté dans le processus de développement ?

« Although specific playtesting goals will be released with each new patch the general intention is to get players to give me feedback on bugs, but also what they find compelling and what they would like to see more of in a game of this nature.

In Early Access build 1.1 I am looking for feedback primary on the any bugs n the AI, menu and streaming system and after these are proved to be solid I will bring in a host of more complex features and expand the scope of the feedback. »

The Silence Outside is a First Person Stealth Mystery game with high replayability designed to be played multiple times to experience the full depth of the game. In addition to the main story mode a separate challenge mode pits the player against an expanding variety of small gameplay focussed challenges with the ability to unlock additional bonus content for fun and experimentation.

EARLY ACCESS
The Silence Outside is an Early Access game, and the developers first game, which should be bore in mind when judging the game. Additionally the insight offered by people playing it during this period is invaluable.

Story Mode (Available 2018)
-You play as a freshly hired maintenance engineer thrust into the middle of a catastrophic power failure and caught between the competing interests of those on board. The game takes place over a two hour period which executes in real time. It is designed to have very high replayability to encourage players to explore the limits of the game world and uncover the story through multiple playthroughs and it features many different endings.

-After the player has finished the story mode once they gain access to a host of options for altering the gameplay within the man story mode. These can be as simple as increasing the enemies perception range , as complex as randomising the location of in game items or as comical as having everyone speak in high pitched voices.

Challenge Mode
Each challenge sets up a unique gameplay challenge which can be played over and over to net a higher score and in game rewards such as more options for the story mode modifications.
