“Moonsteader is being released in Early Access because I want to build it alongside the community. The core gameplay is already in place, but there are plenty of ideas and systems that will grow over time, and player feedback will help shape those decisions.

Early Access will give players the opportunity to experience the game as it evolves, suggest improvements and influence future content while I continue expanding the world, adding new mechanics and polishing the overall experience.

My goal is to create the best version of Moonsteader possible, and involving the community throughout development is the best way to achieve that.”

“The current plan is for Moonsteader to remain in Early Access for around 12 to 18 months. This will give enough time to expand the game with new content, mechanics and quality-of-life improvements while continuing to refine the experience based on player feedback.

As with any active development project, this timeline may change depending on how the game evolves, but the focus will always be on delivering the best possible version rather than rushing to a full release.”

“The Early Access version already includes the core foundations of Moonsteader, giving players the freedom to build a new life on the frontier through gathering, crafting and exploration.

Players can gather resources, pan for valuable minerals, fabricate useful items and recycle materials into new components. A hands-on repair system allows machinery and equipment to be fixed and maintained, while an in-game ordering and delivery service lets players purchase supplies and have them shipped directly to the settlement.

You can explore the surrounding moon, complete missions for members of the local town, experience a dynamic day and night cycle with timed events, and engage in light combat when the situation calls for it. Together, these systems create the core gameplay loop of building your homestead, helping the community and shaping the frontier.

While Early Access already provides a solid foundation, the game will continue to grow with additional content, features, characters, missions and areas throughout development.”

“Yes. We plan for the Early Access version to be available at a lower price than the full release.

As Moonsteader grows with additional content, features and improvements throughout development, we expect the price to increase to reflect the expanded experience. Players who join us during Early Access will receive the game at a lower price while also having the opportunity to help shape its future through feedback and suggestions.”

“Community feedback will play an important role throughout the development of Moonsteader. I plan to actively listen to player suggestions, bug reports and quality-of-life requests, using them to help prioritise future updates and improvements. I will also plan to include in-game surveys to get player feedback in the moment, rather than after they are done playing.

Development progress will be shared through regular updates, and players will be encouraged to share their ideas and experiences as the game evolves. While Moonsteader has a clear vision, the community will help shape how features are refined and expanded during Early Access.
