Happy Lunar New Year!

Welcome to the new Lunar Year everyone! :)

20 reviews and all of them positive! There might be a small audience for musicals on Steam, but we sure love each and everyone of you! <3

If you can't get enough of Yi, we got some good news for you. David and Dominique (the singer of Yi) recently released a small experimental game over on itch and it even got an honorable mention for best student game at the IGF Awards!

Play Seasons

Here are also a few updates we pushed to Yi the past weeks:
  • Steam Cloud Integration
  • Added some variation to the drum introduction of the second song/level "Orange Grey Skies"
  • Fixed the "disappearing boat" bug in the final chapter by introducing some additional camera movement for that section

Keep spreading the love!

Updated Русский & Deutsch Translations + Some Bug Fixes

A huuge thank you to Anonysaurus for the tremendous help with the Russian translation! <3

Here are the patch notes:
- Updated German and Russian translations
- Fixed some missing text in settings panels
- Added overhead instructional text for all currently supported languages

Unfortunately we were not able to fix the camera clipping for the boat scene yet; turned out to be a bit trickier than expected due to the way clipping is currently handled...it will have to wait until the next update.

David recently did an interview with DualShockers, where he talks about about localization and subtitles implementation in Unity: Click

We highly appreciate all your feedback and bug reports, so please keep them coming and don't forget to leave a review if you've enjoyed your experience with Yi and the Thousand Moons. :)

Reviews

“After several playthroughs, I was craving to play more story games with a focus on original music ... this could be an excellent platform for more original composers to feature their music in a unique, visual way.”
The Overpowered Noobs

“The unique draw of Yi is the live band, and music that reacts to you. Each act of the game is a new song with the in-game actors performing the verses naturally as you come into contact with them.”
