Miksi Early Access?

Territory Control originally started as a mod for King Arthur's Gold in 2016. Over the years, it has become more or less a game-within-a-game, with a community of its own.

In late 2020, development of standalone Territory Control 2 started - along with a custom engine built from scratch, written in C# and C. After few months of steady development, it became available as a Patreon reward for players from the original community.

During this phase, the game's development has progressed quickly - many new features were added and refined based on testing feedback, eventually including various tools for custom content creation, such as maps and mods.

It is a mystery - though the development is going fairly quickly. New content and features are being added every week, along with various improvements, optimizations and tweaks.

Far more content is still planned to be added - such as a Conquest gamemode, with multiple regions running simultaneously and matches lasting weeks.

Other future features include industry utilizing magical essences, chemistry and drug customization, expanded modding support, content creation tools and more.

The game is currently in alpha - some features are still unfinished and you may encounter few bugs.

So far, among the already implemented features are:

• Full singleplayer and multiplayer support (including hosting dedicated servers through a command-line interface)
  
• Fully destructible pixel-based terrain and construction system
  
• Mining, crafting, resource processing and basic automation
  
• Faction creation and ability to recruit other players
  
• PvP and PvE combat with a wide selection of weapons, ranging from swords, rifles to heavy artillery
  
• Complex item customization system through blueprints, which can then be used to produce said items

... and various work-in-progress features accessible through creative mode, such as NPCs that can be commanded RTS-style, automation, modular vehicles and modding API!

Yes, as the development progresses, the price will gradually increase.

The development is strongly community-driven - changes and new features are being discussed with the community on Discord, and are often changed accordingly based on feedback.

Players may also contribute directly through a public GitHub repository, which contains base content for the game.
