Varför Early Access?

The current build includes an introduction level where you can learn Lavinia's move set, version 1 of the Exham Priory castle, and version 1 of underground tunnels under the castle.

The plan is to use Early Access to get input from the players, and to give constant updates on the game's progress. Also, since this is a solo project, purchases will also help cover some of the development costs (but the game will continue development regardless of amount of sales).”

“Around 9 months.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The full game will feature all the different areas of Exham Priori, like the main castle, cellars and surrounding gardens.
Planned gameplay elements are stealth sections, more monsters, deadly traps and lots of rats.
More platforming moves might be added if they are needed.
Visuals will also improve, including the overall atmosphere of the environments and creatures, and also animations.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“Information about the current Early Access build (updated June 2023):

• The current build includes an introduction level where you can learn Lavinia's move set. In this version you are taken through Lavinia's move set and other mechanics in a non-lethal environment, so you can learn the moves and fail without any punishment. In the final game, this section will be used as part of the story.
  
• Version 1 of the Exham Priory castle. The castle is currently empty because my main goal right now is go define the size and scale of the castle, as well as the atmosphere. You can't platform in the castle yet either.
  
• Version 1 of underground tunnels under the castle. This section is the same as the demo, and includes a lot of platforming and puzzles.

“I don't have plans to change after the game exits Early Access.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“Look at players feedback to see how the game can be improved, while staying true to the original vision (for example, "add this platforming ability" = OK; "add a frenetic gunfight sequence" = not OK).”
