Genetic Disaster : Mutations

For the past months we have been updating the game but now is the time for the big one, a time for big changes. 2.0 is here. Please, welcome Genetic Disaster: Mutations.

Mutations are powerups and abilities you can put on your character. They can be looted during any run you make. Some of them are common quality and other are rare or even legendary so you probably want to explore every inch of the map. Then you will be able to choose them in the lobby before every game: Move speed increased for close allies, Improving ghost damages, fire rate increased… more than 30 different mutations are waiting for you..

After bosses, you'll find 3 upgrades that are different for every character. Increasing Bunker’s shield size, Panic’s stun zone or explosion after each teleportation for Sneaky... every upgrade costs crystals so choose wisely!

Founded in all kind of chests and sometimes on enemies they can be saved and become permanent (even between games). You’ll need them to buy mutations or upgrades.
What are you going to do? Banking them for another game, or use them instantly for an upgrade?

A bank is a rare room that you can find in any level. If you get a game over before banking the crystals, you will lose them.

There are now 3 differents difficulty mods:
Easy mode: a walk in the park with less aggressive and skilled enemies
Normal mode: it’s the level of difficulty you have experienced so far in Genetic Disaster.
Hard mode: Bigger, faster and stronger enemies… but more crystals to find. Be brave.

It’s a PvP mode, a game mode from 2 to 4 players in an arena. No guns but only stools and some random power ups. People having been hurt and friendships have been broken during development. Beware.

5 new enemies have been created by the mad scientist and each of them got is very special: area of effect shooter, crazy-gatling-gunner-shooter, melee sprinter… They will definitely give you a hard time.

  • Camera calibration rework
  • Environments 2 & 3 optimized
  • 3 new items in the shop
  • Weapons price changed
  • Health potion price changed
  • Weapons power balanced
  • Ammo numbers and drop rate balanced
  • New rooms and Safe level added
  • 10 new weapons added

And much more changes you’ll have to discover in game!

So basically you now have to run in hard mode through the levels with new stupidly overpowered enemies searching for crystals to buy the insane mutations and have a chance to defeat the bosses.
Sounds fun ; for the scientist I mean.

About This Game

Genetic Disaster is a cooperation action game with an appealing accessibility.

Play alone or team-up to 4 friends, on couch coop or through Internet, pick a character and try to run away from the mad mansion! Each of the 12 levels are procedurally generated. Hordes of enemies are waiting for you! Call your friends for help, but be careful, the mansion will adapt, for better or for worse.

Upgrade your hero at each level, to create your own gameplay style or to combine them with those from your mates: Do you need a tank or a berserker? It's up to you!

  • The game will entirely adapt according to the number of players
  • Online and oncouch cooperation multiplayer, from 1 to 4 players
  • Levels are procedurally generated
  • Background and characters hand painted
  • More than 75 powerful and crazy weapons
  • 4 uniques characters with special abilities
  • Upgrade your hero over the levels with more than 50 mutations
  • Controls especially designed for keyboard/mouse and gamepad

If the enemies will do anything to take you down, the mansion is as much hostile. Your progression will affect the entire level with huge mutators. Keep an eye on projectile on fire, explosives barrels, activation of frendly fire, and many more ways to cooperate! Kinda.

Mutations are powerups and abilities you can put on your character. They can be looted during any run you make. You’ll be able to activate it before every game thanks to the new resource, crystals. You’ll find them in chesters or on enemies… Explore every inch of the map and discover more than 30 mutations!

Stool wars is a Pvp arena for 2 to 4 players. No guns, only stools, explosive barrels and boost. If the cooperation is painful during the main game, here is the best place to settle scores and blow off some steam.
