Why Early Access?

“We have chosen to start with early access, because not all of our goals are yet achieved. We are still actively working on the game and want to add more features to create the perfect metaverse to enjoy for everyone at anytime. We will make avatars with custom actions and animations, worlds with custom triggers, inventories and progress saving and user created game modes possible. Everyone should be able to create game modes like tower defense, conquest, or whatever. Shooters, MMOs and many more. We want to provide templates over time so people can get this game fit to what they want to play in that specific moment.

We really appreciate feedback by everyone of you on our Discord, steam discussions or via support email.

We really wanna achieve all of our goals - with all of you - together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We will approximately leave early access 6-9 months after release (open beta).”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During early access we will further optimize and tweak performance and safety for every user.
We want to deliver freedom as well as safety. Thats how a social sandbox is meant to be in our opinion. We also want to add more community focused features like the groups system, a extended friends system and more ways to customize social interaction and various game modes. We also want to add templates for game mode creation to make it more easy for players to create all the nice stuff they want to create.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is already featuring the main features as uploading content, adding friends, interacting, joining worlds and forming groups. There is also a huge backend community hub to manage every social interaction and the uploaded content in the metaverse.
We run a community discord where players and developers can communicate and improve the game together.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game is and will always be free to play. With the free account you will be able to upload up to ten avatars / worlds and will not be able to create groups. Those limits can be lifted by purchasing the account unlock.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We run a bugtracker and feature requester that can be accessed by every registered user in our gate. We comment on every request telling users our opinions and ideas on the specific topics and actively add new content based on users requests.

About This Game

Have you ever dreamt of a world where you can create and explore anything you want? ChilloutVR is a community-driven VR & Desktop sandbox game supposed to enable players as well as creators to create and explore a huge metaverse.



Welcome to ChilloutVR, your new place to be. Be able to create your own avatar or use existing avatars, explore a huge metaverse containing lots of different servers, game modes, avatars, and worlds.

The main goal of ChilloutVR is to provide a secure and performant base game for creators and players around the world.

An AlphaLink account is required to play this game. You will be asked to create this account after starting the game.

Be who you want to be

You can create your own Avatar, your new self in ChilloutVR. You can play as your avatar, explore worlds, meet friends, and make new friends.

Be where you want to be

You can be wherever you want to be, the huge community of content creators is one of the many reasons why ChilloutVR is a game that is enjoyable over a long period of time. You can explore a daily growing amount of publically available worlds alone, with friends or with people you just met. You can also open up new worlds with just a click. Visit and explore a huge amount of virtual worlds or just create your own.


Avatars

You are enabled to create your own, fully expressive, full-body tracked avatars with lip sync and eye-tracking. Full-body tracking is not required, VR is not required.
You can find more detailed information on what custom avatars can contain and what the requirements are in our documentation.

Worlds

You are enabled to create your own, fully immersive worlds including interactable objects.

Scripting & Game modes (not yet available)

ChilloutVR is built modular, allowing everyone to create interactive worlds with interactable objects or even full game modes - all using our in-house scripting toolkit "Newton" (not yet available). This way we allow creators to create game modes like Trouble in Terrorist town, various kinds of coop tower defense games or even MMORPGs in ChilloutVR. The only limitation is your imagination and the players computer performance.


Social interactions around the metaverse

Add your friends and join them, drop portals to other instances to have them follow your way around the metaverse, join public instances to find new people, and make new friends.
You can also join groups to connect with other communities or spend time with the people you like.

Join the party

Attend events of all kinds, be a part of groups, or create your own. You are welcome to enjoy events and talks with many users online.




In ChilloutVR you can explore the many worlds of the metaverse, either alone or with your friends. When exploring online you can decide if only your friends or random people from across the world can join you in your adventures.
