Why Early Access?

“Early access is a good way to get feedback from the community. Already during testing some rather helpful, and other not so helpful suggestions have been made. Increasing the amount of people giving this feedback can help guide the development process, and more importantly help prioritise things. You can check out the roadmap for Dodgeball to see what the future might hold for the game and the progress of the game. You can also vote on the features you might want on that roadmap.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will not be in Early Access for longer than a year but will hopefully be completed in a shorter time frame depending on the features being requested.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version would include much more stuff to do with the addition of more content such as maps, and also gamemodes. Other more 'polished' features might include things such as kill cams and recording gameplay for later playback, skill based matchmaking and dedicated servers.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is in a barebones playable state with a few maps and a single gamemode. This will provide a solid foundation for the rest of the development process. Recently the user interface has been updated to a higher quality which will be present in the final release version.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will gradually increase in price as new features and content ship with the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community can vote on the game development roadmap for features they want to see in upcoming versions of the game, they can also keep up to date with the development progress and see what features are still being worked on and when to expect them to come out.”
