What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“In its current state, the concept and mechanics are definitely far enough along to give the community a good idea about what we want to do with this Robothorium. However it’s still early enough for us to catch any mistakes that we might have made, or to take on board new concepts and propositions. This is why we think now is the right time to be part of Early Access.

In this way the community can be involved the sooner. The game has an original concept mixing RPG and Rogue-like, however it implies a lot of balancing because of the procedural generation.

Fresh perspectives from what we hope will be a bunch of qualified and implicated players. That’s how we take a step back and improve our game, beyond what we could have done all alone in our studio.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We will need at least 8 months to implement everything that we already have planned. Taking into account community feedback and requested features, we could go up to 10 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Ultimately we would like to add 4 more playable classes of Robots, add new missions to get the story to its different endings as well as secondary missions, improve the online player vs player mode and add legendary items with unique effects.

The goal for pvp will be to develop your own defensive I.A, and attack the I.A of your friends or from players from all around the world with your team of robots. The versus matches will be asynchronous so you don’t have to wait too long before your opponent make his/her move.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“At day one of the Early Access we have:

90% of features implemented
6 / 10 robots playable
75% of items
90% of monsters
PvP
Possibility to create your level and community translation
50% of the branching story is integrated”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We will probably increase the price during or after the early access based on the amount of content available and feedback from the community.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We're looking forward to working with the community on a number of fronts:

Balancing the game:
In a tactical RPG everyone has its own way of beating a game. We want that people get involved in their own revolution, that you get tons of possibility to achieve your goal and not with just one meta. So we’re counting on the community to help us a lot with this.

Suggestions and ideas:
We actively encourage members of the community to give us their ideas on how to improve the game with new content or design ideas. You can create posts directly on Steam or just join our Discord if you have any idea or suggestion. We love to hear about you and we are actively present on our Discord.

Bugs hunting:
We’ve done our best to provide you an experience as bug free as we can. However, there will inevitably be small bugs, crashes, or performance issues. Whether they're caused by thousands of players with thousands of different configurations, or just because… It happens…

Translation:
We will open community translation thanks to the Steam Workshop for our game.”
