Why Early Access?

“Undying has been a constantly evolving game from when we started on the project over 3 years ago. Throughout this time we've been keen on using community feedback to help flesh out and create a game that not only has our vision but also keeps it incredibly engrossing

To finish the game and make sure we deliver the best product available, we really want to get the community engaged in helping craft Undying's world.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are anticipating Early Access to last no longer than 6 months but as you know, game development can change very quickly.

We have a strong plan to help keep us on track with milestones and goals to reach our goal of launch within early 2022.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The biggest difference is just the length of the game itself. The EA version of Undying will be capped to just 30 days while at launch it'll be 60 days to beat the game.

Another change will be just the amount of content that'll be available in the release of Undying. From more maps and zones to greatly expanded story elements such as NPCs, side quests, and lore. The entire 2nd half won't be available until closer to launch as we finish working on it.

Naturally, as we progress through Early Access, the game will expand greatly based on feedback and through the increased development capacity to really flesh out the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the Early Access version is the fairly polished, engrossing, first half of the game with around 5-6 hours of gameplay per playthrough. However, to truly experience everything the EA version has to offer right now, it'd take a few playthroughs to get through it.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price will increase once the game launches. The Early Access will also offer exclusive cosmetic bonuses for free to those involved.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We'll be inviting folks to talk with the devs on Steam, Discord, Twitter, everywhere possible as well as holding community town hall sessions so people can talk with the team directly.

There'll be multiple calls to action to make sure everyone understands we want their feedback, and incentives may be added to drive it as well such as exclusive access to in-development branches ahead of others.”
