What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

RoadkillerZ was designed to be the first full scale, fully immersive, multiplayer VR driving and combat game. We have created a unique, and highly intuitive, controlling system - the KANT Controls. Our ambitious goals meant that we need to create our games in stages, and so Early Access was a no brainer for us.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan Early Access period for RoadkillerZ to last for one year, in this time we will add as much content—new arenas, cars, guns and powerups— as well as gameplay variations as possible. Then based on player reviews and suggestions we will refine the game to its best possible version.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our long term goal is for RoadkillerZ to be full scale vehicular combat game with multiplayer support of up to 8 players at a time. It will have more polished KANT Controls, with more varied and wilder steam-punk style cars and arenas and far more variations on guns, zombies and explosions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently fully playable with our unique KANT Control system, and while combat is limited to two arenas, each one has different and unique sections. The arenas are designed in a way to direct gameplay in different directions. We have two cars also with different characteristics and of course we have zombies as scoring points.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As the game will be updated content will increase dramatically, multiplayer mode and additional gameplay modes will be added, like arcade mode or racing mode. Of course as the game begins to give more value to the players, the price will also go up. We estimate it could more than double over the process.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We think Early Access is a brilliant concept, well suited to our “indie game” situation of low funding and high passion. Community feedback is ultimately important for us in process of developing RoadkillerZ and we very much look forward to interacting with our fans”

About This Game

Background:

Hidden deep beneath the Breather metropolises are vast Undercities carved out by slaving Undead Skags where the zombie masters rule through Deep In The Dead. Even further down still are the infernal hellholes where all manners of foulness, evil and monstrosity live. An unliving hell just under our feet! This is a game about life in the darkness, the horror relieved only by the weekly SCUMBALL DERBY RACE!

WHEN THERE IS NO MORE ROOM ON THE TRACK TO DRIVE… YOU JUST HAVE TO RUN THEM OVER!

When you die from a “terminal disease” they send you down here. As cannon fodder for the cars! These souped-up, armored and armed jalopies are designed to race, built to crash, and perfected to mow over as many Zombies as they can.

SO THROW IT IN DRIVE AND GRIND EM UP! SPLAT GOES THE ZOMBIE!
IF THE BLOOD AIN’T FLYIN, YOU AIN’T TRYIN!

Features:

  • We have designed absolutely unique control system for this game and called it “KANT Controls”, which is great possibility for VR users to found themselves fully immersed into the VR driving game.
  • We already have 2 unique vehicles and plan to add 2 more in the nearest future.
  • Running over Zombies gives you power-ups, but there is a system to the madness. Can you figure out all its intricacies?
  • We have two arenas so far, but are planning to add more.
  • Use NITRO to boost your speed, but don’t use it too often!
  • Kill enough zombies and activate your backup Rocket Gun!
  • Excellent car and driving physics will be developed further
  • Story is written by Mark Rein•Hagen, Creator of Vampire: The Masquerade, the World of Darkness and I AM ZOMBIE
