Why Early Access?

“I've tried to put in Tales Of Glory lots of small features i've always dreamnt to find in a game.
The single player game mode is in a quite finished state but I need the community feedback to imagine new features to add and create the game everyone will love.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“#A. Core optimization / improvement :

- Constant work on AI, Animations, Combat, Perf/Framerate as it's the base for the 2 following points. But even if there is still room for improvements on combat, Tales Of Glory will never be a full physic engine based game as Gorn.


#B. MultiPlayer :

Given the facts that :
- The heart of Tales of Glory is the epicness and large scale battles.
- There is already some good games wich cover the 1 Vs 1 medieval fight.

I will work on a multiplayer experience but it will target co-op experience vs computer army. It might not be possible to synchronize a lot of AI bots over the network but the way i've written the engine let me think it's worth trying.

#C. Single Player Campaign :

The single player campaign will be pure sandbox M&B style, with a bit of strategy and a bit of rpg and will serve the purpose to showcase the battles, wich will be like the actual custom battles or scenario based battles

Actual features are :
- Single player deathmatch game mode
- Order system to control your army on the battlefield (Follow, Attack, Auto, Guard...)
- Full capacity friends and foes AI
- More than 20 weapons with lag system to simulate weight
- Physically based damage system
- Horse riding
- 13 beautiful and immersive battlefields
- A complete tutorial level to master game mechanics.”

“I need new ideas to be proposed.
I will do my best to add the most asked features as long as :
- they respect game immersion and lore
- I'm able to maintain acceptable performance

flyings npcs at start corrected
island map pathfinding corrected
protect vip map bug corrected
avatar keeps moving when battle result or dialog pops up corrected
thrown dagger speed increased

addition of a new running option
you can toggle running with pad/stick click , you will keep running until you walk or run out of stamina

you can't run when crouched (for infiltration map purpose)

grabbing system enhanced : if using the toggle system, weapon grabbing is done on grab button press
releasing or mounting is done on release

damage to head and body when stabbing were increased

avatar weapon colliding thresold was increased to prevent unwanted collision
collision sound in lobby was corrected
and haptic feedback was added

noob pit inscription was placed correctly

i've tracked down the invicible knight bug i've made some modification but i'm not sure it's good

Why i won't be posting on R/Vive anymore

Hey all,

I've just been banned from Reddit's R/Vive by the moderators, accusing me of manipulating the votes by asking upvote on Discord.

And when asking a moderator (2flock) who was clearly trolling in the last post the reason of the ban, here is the answer :

"Nope wasn't me. I can't ban people... but I do congratulate whoever did it. Look to your rabid fanboys. You said that it's a niche so being at the top of reddit shouldn't be important.

You can always contest the ban but I dunno..."


You'll see here the "vote manipulation" : putting reddit post links in the discord annoucement... i never asked for upvote

YOUR WAR - YOUR STYLE:


Master your body movement, exercise your sword handling, learn to aim the longbow, develop your own fighting style and overcome your enemies while experiencing the chaos of melee fighting inside a big crowd.
Choose between more than 20 weapons (swords, daggers, polearms, maces, flail, bows) or use your very own fists.
Saddle your horse, crush enemy lines by powerful cavalry attacks and look down on your opposers as your axe seperates their heads from the bodies.

IMMERSION AND ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES:


Participate in huge battles with far over 100 NPCs on 20 beautifully created battlefields. Raid the coast, defend you castle and defeat your enemies, again and again.
The game's randomization system allows you to get a different fight every time you start the level and realistic physics + ragdolling ensure an overwhelming fighting experience.
In addition, a physically based damage system converts the strength of your actual hits to the damage you deal in game while the lag system makes you also perceive the weight of the weapon while playing.
But whatever situation you find yourself in, your devoted ones will always follow your command in the certainty that you will show them the way to victory.

EARLY ACCESS:


Check back regularly to update your game and play new content as it is released.
Early Access means that this is your chance as a player to participate in developing by suggesting improvements or helping the developer with polishing the game and erasing its last bugs.
