What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Mad Machines has a solid core gameplay, but with room for improvement. We need a large amount of user input to achieve the high standards we aim to reach before releasing.

We hope a crowd of early sports brawlers like you will help us form a strong community. This way you can help guide us evolve our Mad Machines vision to reach the best of its potential.

Our game structure allows us to implement new and exciting game modes with relatively short intervals, adding new flavor to the game for all you primo players in early access.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The current plan is to have a strong release candidate by Q4 of 2019. Changes to the game's scope through community excitement and feedback may drive a longer development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full version of the game we hope to have even more content. We expect to implement new characters, customization options, tournaments and custom game modes. That said, we want to keep our plans pretty flexible so that we can evolve the game based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the game is a full functional build, with all the necessary features needed to support for a big player base. This includes dedicated servers in 6 regions, 3 classes, several game modes and a well-designed ball mechanic. Everything a player would need for a satisfactory gaming experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“A decision on the final pricing will be made during the Early Access period, and may be higher depending on the amount of features and content added to the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“With Mad Machines being a competitive team-multiplayer game, a community will be essential for the future development and balancing of the game. If the production wishes to maintain its ambitions of becoming a contender in the the ever growing e-sport industry, one will have to deliver a well-crafted and solid multiplayer game experience. This can only be done through massive user input, feedback and a supportive community.”

August update 2019

Realtime physics-based mechanics, fast paced and 100% serverside.
3 very different Machine Classes with unique stats and abilities are available; team play strategies are many.

Mad Pong is an arcade ball game. Ultra fast destruction.

Dedicated Servers & Built for Multiplayer
All’s fair in love and brawls.

We are backing the competitive structure of Mad Machines by providing full dedicated servers; competitive integrity and even playing fields are of the utmost importance to us and our players. Currently, Mad Machines has dedicated servers in 4 regions.

Intuitive Movement & Precision
Freedom of combining movement and combat is key. Grounded or aerial, no limits.
Even though being heavy Machines, aerial movement and play is required to advance in skill level.

As an example of the impact precision systems in game modes using a ball;
The ball’s trajectory is based on your movement and your swing, to allow for some clean and creative shots.

Mad Ball is our take on a hardcore esports game mode, inspired by bat- and close contact sports.
High pace, intense and very frustrating.

Customization
You are rewarded through xp and unlock items! To take full advantage of this, you can buy the Full Version and customize all your Robots!

The Arena
Surrounded by an audience, you will find several arena and map designs fitting the different disciplines.

Stamina
This is your main ressource in Mad Machines. Hit and tackle your enemies to remove their Stamina and get an advantage.
The free and combinational movement provides many ways for doing tricks and setups, but it requires stamina.

Community Driven & Constantly Upgrading
Mad Machines is constantly evolving, spurred onward by the feedback we receive directly from our community.

Practice options are many. Train with friends, bots and lots of balls!
You can even play several solo modes with own leaderboards.

Roadmap
Refinements, improvements and optimizations are keywords for the next phase up to final release!
This includes UI updates, UX improvements as well.
