Why Early Access?

“We want to involve players and receive feedback so that we can plan and implement any necessary changes as early as possible. An MMO requires a lot of testing and balancing, so we want to start building a community slowly before the actual release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We wish to release the game as soon as we think everything is nicely in balance and there's enough content in the game for a full release. We have set a goal to come out of Early Access roughly in December 2018.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game world will constantly expand: New areas to explore, new monsters, quests and items. The game mechanics will be more polished and tweaked according to the feedback during the Early Access. There are tons of features we have planned, but haven't had the time to implement yet. These features are constantly being developed and implemented during the Early Access, and obviously the development will continue after the release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently has 2 major areas, each with their unique quests, monsters and resources. Most of the skills are accessible, although some of them are missing content (crafting recipes, resources and abilities). Altogether the content at the moment already adds up to dozens of hours of gameplay if you choose to grind through all the skills, monsters and items.
There are also some occasional outdated graphics and poorly optimized areas, which will be updated during the Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price is likely to stay the same during the early access and after release. After release an optional membership subscription is a possibility to fund future development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are planning to actively keep in touch with the community through Steam forums and our Discord server. Progress updates will be shared in our social media (Facebook, Twitter) throughout the Early Access. There will also be a feature in game to report bugs and leave feedback.”

- Alchemy minigame "Myra's Quick Concoction". Level 25 in alchemy and completion of "In the eyes of a child" quest required
- Alchemy ability Ambitious Apprentice - increases experience by 20% when gathering alchemical ingredients
- Bounty boards near banks disaplying rough locations of criminals and their bounties. Players will also be able to set additional bounties on the Bounty Board
- Assisting in a murder will now make you an outlaw
- Guild member list now shows players as online/offline

Changes
- Heavy armor ability Truce duration changed to 7 seconds (from 10)
- Swordsmanship ability Stunnning Blow now only shows the visual effect if the stun lands
- Reduced item insurance cost slightly
- Newbie PvP protection increased to 30 hours playtime (from 6)
- Cooking oysters now requires level 30 cooking (From 35)
- Increased player draw distance when either player has PvP mode active

Bugfixes
- "Remove silver" button not working in trade window
- Some screen resolutions not showing in the video settings resolutions list
- Spell effects and hitsplats sometimes showing in wrong locations

Update 124 - A short downtime expected

• A 6-hour PvP protection has been added to everyone to give time to prepare

New
- Items dropped in your house will not disappear
- Other players cannot pick up items inside your house
- Bal Sardan town gates have been opened
- Bal Sardan Oyster fishing minigame
- House types: 2 story Bal Sardan house, Goldon shack house 1 & 2, Goldon tent 1-5
- Boat type: Fishing vessel
- Quest "Lakhmu's Basement"
- New mobs Young dragon (Goldon), Arachnid, Ravannae (Bal Sardan)
- There is now a cooldown between two guild invites to the same player
- Added target framerate and VSync in video options
- Life potion, resurrects a dead player, crafted using bones and a Life mote (drop from Zalranaz), 1 hour cooldown(edited)
- Player houses now get demolished after 4 weeks of the owner not entering the house. After 3 weeks the house starts decaying and there is a warning message shown to the owner

Changes
- Loot and dropped items now show the name and amount of the item instead of "Loot bag" if there's only one item
- Non PvP flagged players can now only attack criminals in self defence (If the criminal has attacked them within the last 30 seconds)
- Heavy armor ability Taunt now aggros the targetted enemy regardless of it's level for 5 seconds (both players and npcs). All other enemies around the radius are taunted as usual (if their level is equal or less than the player's heavy armor level)
- Jail sentences capped at 2500 ore
- Wayshrines and portals can no longer be used in combat
- Macro check answer timer no longer goes down while AFK
- Increased range limit when placing a tax collector so two collectors cannot collect from the same enemies
- Auction house offers are now limited to 30 offers per person

Bugfixes
- Full screen option not saving between sessions
- Energy blade not activating from poison damage
- Possible to equip shields with a two-handed weapon in combat
- Food healing effect not stacking
- Mobs not dropping loot if killed by indirect damage like poison
- Audio not working in Zalranaz's dungeon
- Dragon's fire attack hitting itself
- Wrong stats on troll and dragon leather quivers
- Unable to use heavy armor abilities with full armor set

Gran Skrea is independently-developed by a bunch of monkeys banging on keyboards around the world. It combines a desire for new player-defined MMORPG mechanics with influences from classic RPGs like Runescape, Ultima Online, and The Elder Scrolls. The game features music by New Light Audio.
