Why Early Access?

“We want to involve players and receive feedback so that we can plan and implement any necessary changes as early as possible. An MMO requires a lot of testing and balancing, so we want to start building a community slowly before the actual release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We wish to release the game as soon as we think everything is nicely in balance and there's enough content in the game for a full release. We have set a goal to come out of Early Access roughly in December 2018.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The game world will constantly expand: New areas to explore, new monsters, quests and items. The game mechanics will be more polished and tweaked according to the feedback during the Early Access. There are tons of features we have planned, but haven't had the time to implement yet. These features are constantly being developed and implemented during the Early Access, and obviously the development will continue after the release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently has 2 major areas, each with their unique quests, monsters and resources. Most of the skills are accessible, although some of them are missing content (crafting recipes, resources and abilities). Altogether the content at the moment already adds up to dozens of hours of gameplay if you choose to grind through all the skills, monsters and items.
There are also some occasional outdated graphics and poorly optimized areas, which will be updated during the Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price is likely to stay the same during the early access and after release. After release an optional membership subscription is a possibility to fund future development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are planning to actively keep in touch with the community through Steam forums and our Discord server. Progress updates will be shared in our social media (Facebook, Twitter) throughout the Early Access. There will also be a feature in game to report bugs and leave feedback.”

- Guild houses (Option to convert a house into a guild house in house options)
- Quest "Powder monkey"
- House types Blue Sea house 1 & 2, Blue Sea Village
- House furniture Guild banner and guild activity log book
- Simple autorun (Hotkey Numlock)
- Graphic updates (Water, some fire spells)
- Mining nodes Sulfur and Saltpeter
- Boat types Small and medium Bal Sardan boat
- Added an insurance advisor in The Blue Sea island town
- Blacklisted and, if the house door is locked, also non-whitelisted players are now automatically removed from player houses
- Invert mouse X/Y axis added in Gameplay options
- It is now possible to attack players inside their houses in self defence (If they have attacked you within the last 30 seconds)

Changes
- Teleports now work in player and guild houses even in red zones
- Mob experience rates have been increased for levels 1-40, experience is now scaled down when fighting much lower level mobs
- It is now possible to pick up any amount of items from the ground if you are not carrying too much weight
- Players who lost their PvP protection before reaching 30 hours playtime will get their remaining protection back when entering a Blue, Yellow or Green zone
- Grimwall mine is now a green zone, Coral Cave is now a yellow zone
- Tweaked materials required for verum, shadow and iridium ingots
- Updated item weights for trout, spruce, oak and palm logs and planks
- Increased palm tree respawn time

- Water breaking line of sight in PvP
- Looter debuff activating in red zones
- Typo in Coral Dungoen entrance gate
- Newbie pvp protection ending in yellow zones

Gran Skrea is independently-developed by a bunch of monkeys banging on keyboards around the world. It combines a desire for new player-defined MMORPG mechanics with influences from classic RPGs like Runescape, Ultima Online, and The Elder Scrolls. The game features music by New Light Audio.
