What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re launching in Early Access because the core game is playable and already represents the experience we want to build, but we want more time with real players before calling it complete. Player feedback is especially important for balancing difficulty, progression, abilities, enemy encounters, rewards, and overall pacing.

Early Access lets us expand the game with more content while tuning the systems around how people actually play. We plan to use this period to add more levels, enemies, upgrades, polish, and quality-of-life improvements, while listening closely to community feedback to make the final version stronger.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect the game to remain in Early Access for around 6 to 12 months. This may change depending on player feedback, balancing needs, and the amount of additional content we decide to add before the full release. Our goal is to leave Early Access only when the game feels polished, well-balanced, and content-complete.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to include more content, stronger balancing, and a higher level of polish than the Early Access release. This may include additional levels, enemies, abilities, upgrades, rewards, and quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback.

During Early Access, we want to refine the game’s difficulty, progression, pacing, and overall feel with input from the community. Our goal is for the full version to offer a more complete and polished experience while keeping the core gameplay that players can already try in Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes the core gameplay experience and is playable from start to finish in its current form. Players can try the main systems, progress through the available content, experiment with abilities and upgrades, and experience the game’s current balance.

Some areas are still being expanded and refined. We are continuing to work on additional content, balance adjustments, polish, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price may change as the game grows. The Early Access price is intended to reflect the current amount of content while giving early players a lower-cost way to support development and share feedback.

As we add more adventures, episodes, balance improvements, polish, and quality-of-life updates, we may increase the price to better reflect the expanded scope of the game. If we decide to change the price, we plan to communicate that clearly ahead of time so players know what to expect.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community by listening closely to player feedback throughout Early Access. Feedback on difficulty, balance, progression, abilities, rewards, pacing, bugs, and quality-of-life improvements will help guide our priorities.

Players will be able to share their thoughts through the Steam forums and community discussions. We plan to review feedback regularly, use it to improve the game where it makes sense, and share updates as the game continues to grow with new content, adventures, episodes, and polish.”

About This Game

Rune Rally is a colorful fantasy roguelike autobattler where every victory begins before the battle starts.

Princess Elara has vanished beyond the broken border roads, and the kingdom’s army is too slow, scattered, and wounded to follow. You command a rally of heroes, outcasts, scouts, mages, knights, and oathbound defenders as they chase her trail through dangerous roads, cursed crossings, war camps, and the looming Black Banner Keep.

Build your squad, choose your route, place your heroes, equip powerful gear, and then let the battle unfold. Your heroes fight automatically, but your decisions shape everything. A tank in the wrong tile can fall early. A protected caster can turn a fight. A backline strike, a healing relic, or one smart upgrade can save the run.

Each run offers new choices:

  • Draft heroes with different classes, roles, and abilities

  • Position your squad on a tactical battle board

  • Equip weapons, armor, and trinkets that change combat outcomes

  • Choose rewards after victories

  • Visit shops, taverns, mystery events, and dangerous elite fights

  • Discover relics that alter your whole squad for the rest of the run

  • Follow Elara’s trail across story episodes with illustrated scenes

Rune Rally is easy to understand, but built for clever decisions. Put sturdy heroes in front, keep fragile damage dealers safe, chase class synergies, adapt to enemy formations, and make each reward choice count.

The road east is broken. The princess is not waiting quietly. Rally your heroes and fight your way to the truth.
