What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“After releasing a free demo, I have had great feedback on the first four levels of my second VR title, GUNNVR. I have also had a lot of requests from people who want to continue the story right now =)

As a solo-indie developer, I believe Early Access provides me a unique way to get the full 16 levels (that complete this story) out to the game-playing public, while fostering my growing fanbase and engaging the HTC Vive community, who are striving for new and unique gameplay experiences.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I believe it will be approximately 6 months until the originally planned 16 story missions are complete.

The opening 9 levels are currently available to play for Early Access customers (with the first four levels released as a free demo).

As I continue developing, bugfixing and implementing your suggestions, I will release incremental Early Access builds that will also (over time) contain more story missions.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“There is a planned sixteen mission story arc which will be available as the full version of GUNNVR.

Additionally, Steam Achievements and Steam Cards will be added before the game moves from Early Access to full retail version.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version contains the first 9 story missions, in development, but with no game-breaking bugs.

You can see a current representation of GUNNVR's visuals in our launch trailer, but please note that a few art assets in later levels are still near their initial placeholder configurations. All art assets will be undergoing upgrades and iterations during the Early Access process (3/7/2017 : I have now even had some professional artists volunteer to lend me some time!)

Incremental bug-fix releases will target issues raised by Early Access customers on the GUNNVR Steam forum.

New levels will become available as they are deemed of sufficient playable quality.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Currently, the plan is to incrementally raise the price as new story missions are released.

I feel this approach is the most fair to all of my customers, as you the gamer will have more content to play if the price goes up.

This will also reward my Early Access early-adopters who will get all of the final content for their discounted Early Access pricing. As well, Early Access customers will have the opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions during the game's development process in the GUNNVR Steam forum.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I know how passionate gamers are about the titles they love, and I want to provide a concrete forum on Steam where my fans can continue to give feedback on what they like and what they want me to change.

VR is an emerging technology and Early Access allows you to interact directly with me (as a developer) and together, make the best game that we both want to play.”

About This Game

You are the GUNNVR, controlling a United Dynamics prototype remote upgradable turret on an Earth Defence Force shuttle.

Intelligence has sent you to check out a large field of asteroids that has mysteriously appeared in Earth's orbit.

Can you break up the rocks in time to save the civilians?
Do you have the resolve to track down why this happened?
Will you get rich destroying hostile enemy ships?
Are you going to fly something better than a Defence Force shuttle?

If you have the courage, you will find the answers in this spaceship turret control game for the HTC Vive!

Note: All settings and progress you make in the free demo will be saved to your Steam Cloud and automatically loaded into purchased Early Access and final retail versions.
