A lab, a debt and a basement

Your uncle Julián Ferrer is dead. He left you his chemistry lab in the Puerto Salitre industrial estate, his filing cabinet of recipe sheets, his regular clients and a debt of €80,000. Pay it off before the bank takes the machines, and find out what really happened to him.

Every order made by hand

Pour, weigh, heat, stir, filter, centrifuge, distill and crystallize, step by step, with real machines you operate with the mouse. Every dose is judged: order, amount, temperature and timing. Purity decides what you get paid, and every mistake has visible consequences: foam, fire, toxic gas, broken glass.

Legal by day, something else at night

Clients call with orders. Ask them questions, negotiate, deliver on time, or quietly cut the purity and hope they don't notice. Some of them are traps. The riskier the product, the more it pays and the more police heat it draws. Pack it with an honest label, a fake one or none at all, and hide what you must before the inspection knocks.

Grow the lab

Buy upgrades that you can see in the lab: fume hood, sprinklers, acoustic panels, fire doors, a rotary evaporator, a better microscope and an automatic packing belt. Unlock the distillation room, the reactor room, the clean room, the warehouse and the hidden basement, where you produce your own raw materials.

Better with friends

Play alone or in co-op with up to 4 players: split the work, pass the recipe sheet around, revive a stunned partner and decide together who opens the door when the inspection arrives.

ILLICIT is a chemistry simulation about running a lab that also makes illegal products. Players manufacture, package and sell illegal drugs, mostly fictional, and an optional late-game basement production line depicts growing opium poppies and refining heroin in a simplified, non-instructional way. The game also shows police raids, debt and lab accidents such as fires, explosions and toxic gas. There is no graphic violence, gore or sexual content.
