What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Apocalypse LootRunner combines automatic combat with equipment, Unique items, skill choices, and long-term progression. We want player feedback to help us develop these systems further and understand which builds, rewards, and progression choices players find most enjoyable.

Early Access gives us an opportunity to refine balance, improve clarity and usability, and expand the game while learning from players’ experiences. We are particularly interested in feedback on build variety, progression pacing, difficulty, and how different items and abilities work together.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Early Access to last at least several months, but we have not set a firm timeframe for the full release. The duration will depend on development progress and the time needed to gather, evaluate, and respond to player feedback as we expand the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to expand Apocalypse LootRunner from the two currently playable Acts toward a ten-Act campaign, with each Act featuring its own distinctive biome and monsters.

We also plan to introduce more collectibles and refine the skill system, item balance, and progression based on Early Access feedback. These are our current development goals, and their scope and implementation may evolve as we learn from players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes two playable Acts: Wasteland Outskirts and Sewers. Players can experience the core loop of automatic combat, collecting and equipping loot, upgrading equipment, developing skills, and progressing through increasingly difficult encounters.

The game includes Unique items that can reshape your build, quests, consumable power-ups, Bounty Contracts, the Threat Level system, Ascendancy progression, and permanent Act perks. Equipment and skill choices support different approaches, including elemental damage, rapid-fire weapons, and full melee builds.

The remaining eight Acts are not yet playable. Balance, progression, and usability are still being developed. We currently expect saves to remain compatible through Early Access updates, although we cannot guarantee compatibility with every future change.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We have not yet decided about all commercial aspects moving forward. We will be collecting feedback from Early Access also in this perspective.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to use the Steam Community Discussions to gather bug reports, suggestions, and feedback on balance and progression.

We are especially interested in hearing which builds and Unique items players enjoy, where progression feels too slow or too difficult, and which systems need clearer explanations. This feedback will help inform our development priorities and adjustments to the game.

We also plan to share development news and update notes through Steam announcements so players can follow the game’s progress.”

About This Game

The world ended. The loot didn't.

Welcome to Apocalypse Loot Runner — a post-apocalyptic idle survival RPG where the monsters never stop coming, the loot keeps dropping, and there's always a reason to survive just one more stage.

You're a lone runner pushing through a world that has completely gone to hell. Armed with whatever you can scavenge, you'll blast through endless hordes of monsters, collect increasingly ridiculous amounts of loot, and slowly transform from a barely surviving scavenger into a wasteland killing machine.

The shooting is automatic. The decisions are yours.

Survive. Loot. Upgrade. Repeat.

  • Fight endless hordes — Watch your survivor tear through waves of enemies, dangerous elites, and massive boss encounters.

  • Loot everything — Discover weapons, armor, rare equipment, and powerful unique items that can completely change your build.

  • Build your survivor — Experiment with skill trees, equipment modifiers, and powerful combinations to become ridiculously strong.

  • Push your luck — Crank up the Threat Level for tougher enemies and better rewards. Sometimes greed pays off. Sometimes it gets you killed.

  • Take on bounties — Pick up mysterious radio contracts, complete challenges, and earn extra rewards along the way.

  • Ascend and grow stronger — Death isn't the end. Rebuild, unlock new powers, earn permanent perks, and push further into the wasteland.

  • Explore a ruined world — Fight your way through different Acts, each with its own atmosphere, enemies, and challenges.

One more stage. One more drop.

Maybe the next boss drops that perfect weapon.

Maybe one more upgrade makes your build unstoppable.

Or maybe you'll get absolutely destroyed in the next thirty seconds.

That's the wasteland for you.

Apocalypse Loot Runner is all about that strangely satisfying loop of watching numbers go up, finding better gear, making questionable decisions, and discovering just how powerful your survivor can become.

No grand promises. No saving the world.

Just you, a whole lot of monsters, and an unhealthy obsession with loot.

How far can you make it?
