The Cold War, gone hot

Code Red RTS is a real-time strategy game in the spirit of the classics: build a base, mine ore, raise an army and crush the enemy, Allies against Soviets, in full 3D. It is free to play, with nothing to buy.

Two sides, nine countries

• The Allies: speed and technology. IFVs that take on the weapon of whoever rides inside, Beam Towers and Beam Tanks that grow stronger together, Jet Troopers, the Phase Legionnaire, jets from the Air Command and a carrier navy.

• The Soviets: weight and fury. Red Guards who charge, Bison and Doomsday tanks, Leviathan Airships that bomb whatever they cross, Hunter Subs, and a Mentalist who turns enemy units against their owners.

• Every country fights with its side's whole arsenal plus something of its own: Britain's Snipers, France's Fortress Cannon, Russia's Shock Tank, Cuba's Saboteurs and more.

Command it your way

• Learn the basics in five minutes: basic training takes you through your first base and your first fight.

• Skirmish against easy, medium or hard computer opponents that build, expand and attack, or play online with friends, up to eight players a battle.

• Climb the ranked 1v1 and 2v2 ladders, alone or with a friend in a party.

• 16 maps: valleys and ridges, snowfields, desert, tropical islands and cities, with cliffs, rivers, high bridges that can be blown up and mended, and tech buildings to capture.

• Superweapons on countdowns everyone can see: the Missile Silo, the Storm Generator, the Steel Veil and the Rift Gate.

• Big armies: orders for up to 2000 units at once, a control group bar, pings to mark the map for your allies, and every key rebindable.

• Unit voices, a battle announcer and battle music, and a battlefield that breaks up under fire.
