About This Game

You died. A voice in the dark gave you a second life and one condition: climb the Eternal Tower, reach the Zenith, and claim a wish that can do anything. Even send you home.

Idle Ascent sits in a corner of your screen while you work, browse or play something else. Your party fights on its own. The window is transparent, stays on top and lets clicks pass through its empty space. Scale it from 50% to 150%, or collapse it to a small bar and the fight keeps going.

Check in for a minute or two to pick skills, swap gear and push to the next floor.

Pick four heroes from six classes and place them on the battlefield. Tanks hold the front, healers and archers work from the back.

  • Warrior spins through crowds with Whirlwind and leaps into the fight.

  • Knight taunts enemies onto himself, blocks and strikes back.

  • Mage burns groups of enemies with fire and area spells.

  • Scholar heals, shields and cleanses the party.

  • Archer fires piercing shots and rains arrows from range.

  • Thief teleports behind targets, makes them bleed and steals their gold.

Each class upgrades into a more specialized form: Swordmaster, Guardian, Archmage, Priest, Huntress and Assassin. Future updates will add more classes and specializations.

Skill trees

Every class has its own tree of active skills, passives and stats. Choose which skills each hero brings into the fight.

Constellations

Each class has its own sky of stars. Light them with skill books, and watch your skills change.

Loot

Gear rolls random affixes, and some of them grant new passives. Mix gear, sets and skills until your party clicks.

The guild

Spend your gold on your guild's professions. The grid starts hidden and opens as you invest in it.

The kitchen

Cook meals from what your party brings back. Each dish buffs your heroes, and the ones they eat often make them permanently stronger.

The market

Prices rise and fall with supply and demand, even while you're away. Buy low, sell high, and fill contracts for the merchant's customers.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

AI image tools were used to generate ability icons, item artwork and some interface art. I picked each piece, then edited and recolored it by hand to fit the game's style. Characters, enemies, animation, game design and writing were made without generative AI. The game does not generate any content with AI while you play.
