About This Game

One connection. A whole world to bring online.

Internet Provider 98 is an idle incremental game about building an internet provider from the ground up. Start with your first customers, turn data into income, and reinvest in a network that grows far beyond your desktop.

Take your network worldwide

Start small and work your way through seven scales: users, homes, neighborhoods, cities, countries, continents, and the world. Watch each new scale give your progress a different shape, from a few connected computers to routes spanning the globe.

Turn packets into progress

Click to send data packets and earn money. Invest in hardware and customer upgrades, then unlock automatic transmission to keep data moving. As your network grows, decide where to spend your next earnings and which upgrade to pursue next.

Give research a hands-on boost

Match pairs of technology icons to advance research. Hire research staff to keep work moving as you focus on your network. Discover new technology, then purchase the upgrades it unlocks to put your research to use.

A familiar desktop. A much bigger ambition.

Gray windows, navy title bars, pixel-art maps, and live statistics bring the feel of a late-90s desktop to your growing business. Switch between customers, upgrades, and research as your little operation becomes a worldwide network.
