What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“A co-op shooter needs more than my own group telling me which parts work. I want to see how other squads handle the pressure, where they get stuck, and which moments make them want another round.

Early Access gives players a way to help shape the game while I’m still developing it. I plan to use that feedback to improve combat encounters, wave pacing, weapon balance, and teamwork, alongside ongoing work on performance and multiplayer reliability.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I currently expect Dead On Your Six to remain in Early Access for roughly 6–12 months from its Early Access launch. I’m developing the game solo, so this estimate may change depending on development progress, testing, and player feedback. I’ll keep this section updated as the timeline becomes clearer.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to expand the game with additional locations and more varied combat encounters, building on the existing Warehouse and Prison operations. I also plan to develop enemy behavior, refine weapon and equipment balance, and give squads more reasons to consider their routes, positioning, and resupply choices.

Performance, usability, and multiplayer reliability are also priorities. These are development goals, and the scope and order of additions may change as I learn from testing and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version supports solo offline play and online co-op for up to six players through Steam friend squads. Two maps are playable: Warehouse and Prison. Operations consist of eight waves of infected, including elite encounters and a final boss, followed by extraction for the surviving squad.

The game includes squad preparation in a ready room, selectable insertion points, soldier customization, weapon and armor purchases during resupply breaks, and teammate revives. Combat balance, performance, and multiplayer reliability are still being refined. Online sessions are hosted by a player; if that host leaves or disconnects, the session ends.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I currently plan to keep the base price the same throughout Early Access and increase it at full release to reflect the content and improvements added during development. I’ll announce the full-release price and any changes to this plan in advance.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I plan to use Steam Discussions for feedback and bug reports, and Steam announcements for patch notes and development updates.

I’m especially interested in where squads feel overwhelmed, where the pace drags, which weapons feel worth buying, and what gets in the way of playing together. Reports that include your squad size, map, wave, and what happened will help me investigate problems and prioritize changes. Player feedback will help shape combat balance, usability, and the direction of future development.”

About This Game

Dead On Your Six is a co-op first-person survival shooter for one to six players. Your outfit seals off infected territory and sends you in to draw a crowd. Bring enough firepower to handle the attention.

Someone cover me.

A friend is down. Something is coming up the stairs. You picked a bad time to reload.

Fight through waves of infected that rush, spit, explode, and drag your plans apart. Cover the approaches, make your shots count, and get your squad back on its feet before a bad moment becomes a short evening.

Go in alone if you like. Just remember who’s coming to pick you up.

Take a breath. Buy something louder.

Between waves, spend your points on weapons, grenades, and armor. There’s time to rearm, regroup, and agree that the last round was definitely somebody else’s fault.

Then the next wave arrives.

Watch your six.

Fight across a military warehouse compound, from floodlit yards to cramped passages and dark underground spaces. Runners close the distance. Infected dogs get under your sights. The bigger things demand everyone’s attention—usually when everyone is already busy.

Pick your soldier’s look, bring your friends, and try to keep the whole squad standing.
