The Essence came to swallow the world. Its first creature had other plans.

When a purple goo from space crash-lands on a British street on a Friday night, it squeezes out its very first soldier, the template for an entire invading army. That soldier is Dave. He’s orange. He’s got two big eyes. He has absolutely no interest in world domination. And then he smells chips.

Now the Essence wants its reject back, and Dave wants his tea. Leg it.

Dave, Leg It! is a fast, tight speedrun platformer built around one thing: getting from start to finish as fast as humanly possible. so every attempt is one more go.

RUN, SWING, DASH, SHOOT

Build momentum. Speed is earned, and kept as long as you play clean. Hit a wall or fluff a move and it’s gone.

Swing on your own tentacle. Dave’s made of goo, so he fires a bit of himself at anything he can grab. Time your entry right for a faster launch.

Dash. use them wisely.

Shoot the Essence’s half-made creatures out of your way, or bounce off them and lose your pace.

Slime up walls. When you’re made of goo, sticking to things comes naturally.
