Why Early Access?

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The Early Access phase will be at least half, but no longer than a year, to get more content ready and polish what is already implemented.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The release version will be more polished and existing features will have more options, e.g. more chemical and biological stats have to be managed. However, the addition of features and content will not stop with the release version. We are planning for a long product life cycle and many free updates, as well as content for Biotope.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version is playable with most of its core features in place. Some features lack depth which will be added during the Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Possibly. We evaluate the pricing regularly, as the game gains features, expands in scope and moves closer to the final release. However, everyone who joins us during Early Access will absolutely have access to the full version of the game, no matter how large it grows!”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Biotope was planned to be a pleasant and relaxing experience, so we hope to get valuable feedback from the community. This might change smaller details in user experience or even add additional content to our ever-growing roadmap.”
