Why Early Access?

“I made this game for myself, to stay focused during work sessions without getting distracted. I’m releasing it in Early Access to keep improving it with feedback from people who use it.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around 6 to 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to explore adding cosy music, ambient sounds, a to-do list, and candle customization options, among other ideas. The exact direction will depend on what the community finds most useful. Plans may evolve throughout development.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core Pomodoro timer is functional, the candle burns down in 100 steps, and a Zen mode is available. However, the game is still missing a lot of what I envision for it : audio, customization, and additional features are yet to be built. Early Access is the right time to gather feedback and shape what comes next.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will increase slightly at official release, as content is added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the Steam discussions. If a feature comes up often, it becomes a priority.”

About This Game

Pomodoro Candle is a minimalist productivity tool inspired by the Pomodoro technique : 50 minutes of work, 10 minutes of break, wrapped in a soothing pixel art atmosphere, entirely handcrafted.

At the center of the screen, a candle slowly burns down as your session progresses. The further you go, the lower the flame. A visual and zen way to stay focused without checking the clock every two minutes.
