About This Game

One Deck. Nine Rounds. Every Choice Counts.

NoveCard is a single-player strategy card game played with a standard 52-card deck. Build hands, choose where to score, and aim for a higher total across nine rounds.

No ticking clock, no pressure to rush. Settle into a warm, papercraft-inspired tabletop and take your time with every decision.

Score Three, Keep Two

Each round, your hand is replenished to five cards. You can swap cards before choosing three to score in an unused category.

The remaining two cards carry over to the next round, combining with newly drawn cards to create fresh opportunities.

A good hand might be worth scoring right away—or worth holding onto for an even better combination later. Every scoring decision shapes the choices ahead.

Nine Scoring Categories, Each Used Only Once

The scorecard is divided into two sections:

  • Suit Totals: Score points from spades, hearts, diamonds, and clubs. Reach a combined 95 points across these categories to earn a 30-point bonus.

  • Classic Poker Hands: Make a pair, straight, flush, straight flush, or three of a kind to earn a fixed score.

You can fill the nine categories in any order, but each can only be used once per game.

The same three cards may qualify for multiple categories. Do you take the points now, or save a valuable scoring opportunity for a later round?

Will Your Swapped Cards Come Back?

In NoveCard, the standard deck is shuffled only once, at the beginning of each game.

Cards you swap out aren't gone forever. They return to the bottom of the deck in the order you choose. As the deck cycles, they may eventually find their way back into your hand.

Keep track of cards you've swapped out, plan their order, and set up opportunities for future rounds.

You get two regular swaps per round. If you're still missing a key card, you can use a limited extra-swap allowance—but every additional card swapped costs 3 points.

Is another chance worth the cost?

Two Ways to Play, One Set of Rules

Casual Mode: See cards you've previously returned to the deck that are still in it, along with their positions, making it easier to track where they might appear next.

Table Mode: The deck's order stays hidden, leaving you to rely on memory and judgment to plan your next move.

Both modes follow the same scoring rules. Choose the experience that suits you and enjoy thinking through each of the nine rounds at your own pace.

Replay the Same Deal, Explore New Possibilities

  • Seeded Games: Enter the same seed to recreate the same starting deck order. Compare different decisions and scores with friends.

  • Daily Challenge: Take on a fixed starting deck each day. Try again to discover a more satisfying way to play it.

  • Custom Mode: Adjust the number of swaps, deck visibility, reshuffling rules, and bonus thresholds to experiment with different rule combinations.

  • History & Replay: Review completed games and revisit your swapping and scoring decisions step by step.

  • Share Your Results: Generate an image of your nine scoring categories and final score to share a memorable game with others.
