About This Game

Three villagers. One campfire. A new age to build.

Ragnarök: Rise of the Nine Realms is a single-player incremental settlement game inspired by Norse mythology. Gather resources, raise buildings and assign your villagers to the work that keeps your settlement growing.

Start with a barren camp on your first realm journey: a tent and campfire in Midgard, before any buildings are constructed.

Build, improve and automate

Develop production, research and crafting as your settlement expands. Buildings change appearance through five visual stages. Trade unlocked physical resources and plan how to put your villagers to work.

Upgrade your town into a thriving Viking village: developed Midgard with upgraded buildings, villagers and a longship.

Choose the favor of the gods

Follow one of eight patrons, invoke their powers and choose branching blessings that influence your plans.

Gather your warriors

Recruit warriors and prepare a force for expeditions beyond your settlement.

Hire warriors for battle: the warrior recruitment panel over the Midgard settlement.

Send your warriors on expeditions

Choose timed expeditions with visible requirements and rewards. Success comes from preparation and resource management; battles are not directly controlled.

Begin again in another realm

Travel through Yggdrasil to nine themed worlds. Each arrival starts a fresh settlement around a campfire while your saga continues. Discover regional visitors, challenges, crafts and music, with ships or land-based expedition halls suited to the destination.

Make Ragnarök part of your story

End an age to earn Wisdom and permanent legacy upgrades. Keep discoveries, artifacts and local achievements as you rebuild, and take on optional oaths that change the rules of a new age.

Uncover what the world remembers

Meet authored visitors, follow journal clues and seek twenty secrets across your journey. Capped offline progress lets your settlement continue producing between sessions.
