About This Demo

Court Vision is a basketball GM sim for people who know ball. Take the job as a GM of one of 30 teams, run the front office, and see how far your decisions carry you. The sim engine is built on real professional basketball data and tuned against 10+ seasons of data, so simulation outcomes mirror reality. For example, your star point guard won’t average 10 rebounds a game just because his overall is high. Play with auto-generated rosters, build your own in the Roster Builder or download rosters the community made on the Steam Workshop.

  • The CPU won’t fall for trades you know shouldn’t work. Flipping a bench player you just signed in free agency and two second-round picks for a first doesn’t make any sense, so it won’t happen here. Every trade weighs age, contract value, injury history and overall, plus your trade partner’s team construction and goals. When a deal goes through you actually earned it.

  • Put players on the trade block and opposing GM’s will come to you with offers throughout the season.

  • Build three-team trades that actually go through. No more pseudo three-team trades.

  • Trade picks up to 6 years into the future.

  • Every player has personality traits that decide how much they value your franchise. The more they value it the more likely they are to stay when they hit free agency, so re-signing your guys is about more than just offering the most money.

  • Manage your roster against a realistic salary cap. We took data from the past 10 free agencies to see how much players get paid and how long they sign for across hundreds of situations, so players ask for realistic contracts. No more role players asking for all-star money.

  • Every draft class aims to mirror reality as close as possible. Scouting gives you the upper hand but just like real life there’s no way to predict every prospect, so when you find a steal it actually feels like you found one.

  • Every season assign 3 scouts to focus areas that target what your roster needs. The more resources you put into a focus area the better intel you get.

  • Follow each prospect through the college season and watch their rank and stats change week to week.

  • Scout each prospect’s ceiling and floor, attributes and overall grade.

  • Draft overseas prospects and stash them for a year. You save a roster spot and they get an extra year of development before you bring them over.

  • Our chemistry system strikes a balance between what you control and random chance. Players form relationships with teammates and the more they play together the bigger the bonuses get. Break one up and you risk the guys left behind getting upset, losing morale, playing worse and even demanding a trade. Trading a guy away isn’t just about the guy you’re trading.

  • Relationships are based on the type of player. Similar players form relationships from a pool of scenarios, for example international players, 7-footers and 2nd round picks, so no two locker rooms end up the same.

  • You can’t control which players form relationships but giving them more minutes together always gets you a bonus you can’t get any other way.

  • The GM skill tree makes every franchise playthrough different. Some GMs are great at scouting while others are great at making trades, and each path lets you decide the skills you want your GM to have.

  • On top of the skill points you earn by being a successful GM, you unlock tenure skills that give you a bonus the longer you stay with a franchise, so sticking with a rebuild actually pays off.

  • Each GM background (Former Player, Veteran Scout, Business Executive or Sports Journalist) comes with a specialty skill you can only get by picking that background when you start a franchise. For example, the Veteran Scout’s Sleeper List fully reveals three prospects projected outside the lottery every draft class.

  • Track your GM resume and win totals as your career goes on.
