Come on a world-wide adventure with Velma and Rapu - starting in their closet!

There are twenty countries' worth of traditional dress, sorted into heads and chests and legs and toes, and absolutely nothing stopping you from putting an Egyptian headdress on a Brazilian outfit with Japanese shoes. Get Velma and Rapu dressed and send them out on stage. If you choose the right combinations for a country you get to perform in an animated skit!

Originally released by Headbone Interactive in 1997 and now fully restored for modern desktops, Velma's Costume Closet is a dress-up box that teaches world geography and folklore while you play with it.

• Twenty Countries, Forty Costumes: Argentina, Australia, Bali, Brazil, Canada, China, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Ghana, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain and the USA — a full outfit for each character in every one.

• Mix and Match Everything: Shirts, pants, dresses, headgear, shoes, swappable across all twenty countries, for well over a hundred thousand ways to dress each of them. Sensible combinations are entirely optional.

• Sixty Animated Skits: Dress a character in a complete costume from one country and they perform that country's scene — on their own, or together with the other character when both are dressed to match. Every scene is fully animated and voiced.

• Two Dressing Rooms and a Stage: Velma and Rapu each get their own room to change in, then head onto the stage together to perform.

• Print Your Own Paper Play: Send costumes to the printer and make paper dolls, finger puppets and a homemade puppet theatre out of them.

• Fully Restored 1997 Animation: Hand-drawn cartoon art and a complete voice cast, rebuilt to run natively on modern machines. Everything is spoken aloud, so it plays fine for ages 4 and up, readers or not.
