About This Game

The Fate Twister... The KNURLWORM. A mythical worm said to have the power to alter a person's fate. After a life of solitude and backwards glances, a lone carver ventures into the woods to find the creature, regardless of the superstitions of his home. Follow the carver and help him meticulously inspect the surrounding forest for signs of twisted fate, and follow his conversations with the mysterious woman Imago to uncover his past.

Real Woodcut Prints.

Every visual asset in KNURLWORM is a real print carved from real wood, printed onto real paper, then scanned into a digital format, placed on a different image of real paper(for stylization's sake), then formatted for the screen. Everything from the settings to the text boxes to the letters within them were printed with real ink on real paper.

Peel the Bark and pick the Leaves

Carefully inspect each tree to assess it's symptoms. Refer to a mysterious journal written by someone called "Puddler" to try and deduce which tree will lead you towards the Fate Twister.

The mysterious woman at camp.

Along his journey, a mysterious woman named Imago joins the Carver's camp. She says that she is simply curious how his journey will end, but she knows more than she lets on...

There is no saving.

KNURLWORM takes 30 minutes to an hour to play and does not include a save function. It is meant to be played in one sitting.
