In The Distant Future

In humanity's desperate attempt to discover immortality, the wealthiest entrepreneurs created rat-human hybrids. The entrepreneurs, upon discovering that rats brought them nowhere closer to eternal life, had to find a way to turn a profit. Introducing: Rat Race, a humanoid-rat game show.

Escape The Maze

The rats must collaborate together to escape a maliciously designed maze stock-full of evil robots, traps, and trials. To escape, power cells are hidden throughout the maze. Power cells may be obtained through various treacherous means, and then must be brought back to the center to power the elevator for escape.

Robots

The players must watch their step, there are robots around every corner, always searching for rats. If the robots detect a player, they might blow them sky-high or crush them into a wall. No robot is perfect, though. Players can outmaneuver them, ensnare them in traps, and even harvest power cells from them.

Traps

Robots aren't the only danger. Traps of every design are built into the floor, walls, and ceilings of this facility. They crush, swing, shoot, and generally disintegrate anything in their way. Players will have to be quick and smart to dodge them. They will have to be even smarter to use them to their advantage.

Trials

Throughout the maze there are trial rooms to test the rats agility and intellect. Escape rising gas, navigate strange mechanisms, and don't look back. The rats must think carefully and move quickly in these rooms, but they will be rewarded handsomely if they successfully pass the test.

Equipment

The rats are not completely helpless, for equipment has been scattered all throughout the maze. Stun weapons, shields, hacking devices, and much much more all prove to be incredibly useful tools in tight situations. These resources are neither common or sparse, so they must be used sparingly.
