About This Game

YOUR KEYBOARD IS THE FORTRESS. EVERY KEY IS A TURRET.

The zombies are coming, and all that stands between them and your Space bar is the keyboard under your fingers. Put weapons on your keys, mash them to fire, and hold the line for 20 waves.

PRESS TO SHOOT

Every key is a slot. Drop a Pistol on F, a Shotgun on D, a Chainsaw on R, a Tesla Coil on G - then press the key to fire it straight up its column. Auto-turrets fire by themselves, walls soak up bites, and the Space bar is your core and your panic nuke. If the zombies chew through it, the run is over.

BUILD YOUR LAYOUT

Between waves, spend gold in the shop: buy, reroll, lock the cards you want, and place every item on exactly the key you choose. Where you put things matters - keys next to each other link up.

STACK SYNERGIES

Every item carries tags - GUN, MELEE, AUTO, DEF, BOLT, FIRE, GOLD. Connect keys that share a tag to power up the whole cluster at 3, 6 and 9: guns that fire together, lightning that chains, fire that spreads, gold that keeps paying out.

SURVIVE THE HORDE

Walkers, Runners, Brutes, Splitters, Bombies that explode on your keys, Witches, and Giants that take whole rows apart. Broken keys stay broken until the wave ends - plan around the gaps.

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

Keyboard vs Zombies was made with the help of an AI coding assistant (Anthropic's Claude Code). The assistant helped write the game's code.

Some of the game's pixel art, animations and sound effects are procedurally drawn and synthesized by the code we (the human game dev) wrote and iterated with the Claude Code assistant, under our (the human game dev) own extensive design and direction.

The chiptune soundtrack was composed note by note in code with the same code assistant; some tracks are arrangements of public-domain classical works (Pachelbel's Canon, Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor). The store artwork, screenshots and trailer were assembled from real in-game footage and the game's own sprites.

During the development process, no image, sound, video or voice generation models were used. Only text generation model (Claude Code) was during the entire game development process.

Nothing is generated by AI while you play, and the game does not connect to any AI service.
